Why I think it's over for Garrett/ Why he looked that way on the sidelines during the 49ers game

I don;t know about the whole clapping thing.

However at times he looked like he was...

1. Going to cry
2. Was in total shock
3. Had the thousand yard stare (military people will get that one)
4. Had a bad burrito earlier and was trying to keep it from coming up...or out
5. Like he had just read a dear John letter and was trying to process it

...continue if you want...

6. Like he was counting the Niner red in the stands to give that count to Jerry. He knows Jerry would not be looking at the crowd & that would be a fun dinner conversation.

Jason: I counted 49k in red Jerry.
Jerry: BS. I had Shy count them & he only counted 46k!

There was so much red that the sun was reflecting it back on the gingers face. lol

Just a ton of red. Flat out embarrassing but out of our control. I don't live there or buy tickets.

As many have said the Cowboys pull large in other stadiums. It doesn't feel so good when you have it happen to your team.

Ok back to the count

7. Just got back from taping a Maury Povich DNA paternity test episode and is still shocked at the results.
8. Just got a text from Jerry saying...if Pat Haden can come down to the sidelines to talk to the refs about a call, I might have to try that as well.

9. He spotted his own family in their box in Niner red.

10. In his locker he found post it messages from the University of Central Rhode Island saying Jerry had said he'd be sending them his resume & when could they expect that?

I think by game #10 or #12, if we are already out of the post season picture, then JG is a goner. Now I'm not just talking about competitive loses, i'm talking about embarrassing loses, kind of like vs. the Saints last year. A few of those, and it's a given.

Well there very well might be a few of those.

I would say Seattle can name that score & we do play the Saints again.

Steve Dennis (who hates the cowboys) just said that Jason Garrett is in complete control of the team behind the scenes.

The division is going to be a mess of 4-8, 5-7 and 6-6 by game 12.
Just enough wins by all to let the misery linger until the do or die game 16 between two 7-8 teams for division title.

Lol

I heard that, too.

I know how Dennis intends it, but in truth, does that make Garrett look better or worse?

Romo was held out of practice a lot during training camp. Being a QB is about rhythm and getting your timing with your WRs as well. This was with a new OC. That is pretty much why he sucked. Whoever made that decision, it was bone-headed.

Can someone do some research and let me know if any other team committed a penalty on their first play of the 2014 season?

Very curious.

The million dollar question is what exactly did JG do in front of the team to address Romo's mistakes?

(Re: Steve Dennis comments on the Break about JG's authority)

It'd be cool to find out someday, huh? Kind of surprising that that stuff doesn't come out after the fact from players who are later cut and/or out of the league. You'd think they probably record much of what the coaches tell them.
Garrett used to invite coaches into meetings and once a year give them orientations as to some of what's being covered to help them understand the team better. I don't know whether he still does that, or not, but that'd also be interesting to hear.

You are the master of not taking any position what so ever.

Red won't sniff an another HC job ever again and I doubt any other HC is going to want him. He's not been the kindest friend to his former HC Wade nor has he taken care of his other Coordinators. The coaching realm is SMALL and they all know who sold who out.

He will get another coordinator job and a chance to prove himself. The League knows he was completely set up to fail working for an alcoholic lunatic owner/GM.

I think it's better than Jerry having that control.

Now here is the scary part. Assume that is true. Is that control given to him because Jerry has that respect for Garrett. As in, does a new regime not get that control?
