Why is Brown on the hands team

This is a serious question. There are maybe 6 people with better and more sure hands. Why is he on the second tier in the main recover role? Seems like there are better choices
he is a WR. he should be able to make catches. how he dropped that ball is beyond me. we knew it was coming. we were ready and set up and he still fumbled it. but then again he is on the all NFL Volleyball team. just see his set play to Jags DBs in OT earlier this year.

How in the world would you know better than the Cowboy coaches? It is pretty standard to have wide receivers on the hands team.

Really? It's beyond you?

It took a funny bounce. Wasn't that hard to see.

You guys act like he's out there dropping passes all the time. It's pretty silly.

Because the game was over anyway, why risk a more important player?

I thought it took a bad bounce as well. He still should have had it, but I agree.

One job. He only has the one job in that position. Time to let Fehoku take over the role of “blocking receiver” Falls Down Alot can go be an irritant for someone else’s fan base!
I thought I was the only one who noticed Brown always fall down.

Noah Brown with the biggest rollercoaster season in history

- Signed as depth, people didn’t mind him as depth
- Forced to start and everybody was down on him
- Played well early and started to trend up
- Began with the drops and has went down hill at 110mph

I remember having arguments when they re-signed him and certain people argued “he has good hands and needs more opportunities”

we knew an onside kick coming. we put the "hands" team on the front line. we knew the kicks are going to be wobly, yet we screwed it up. I think only 2% of onside kicks work and we are in that 2% category.

its not silly. its an expectation of not screwing up. that expectation is not silly

I just know that when Brown is in the game it's a RUN, so no need to worry about catching anything lol

Noah is considered one of the Cowboys best special teams guy, and he's a wide receiver
So he's expected to be "handsy enuff " to handle that kind of duty.

I'm not arguing receivers shouldn't be on the hands team. I'm saying Brown drops a lot of passes, and he didn't make that catch when needed. Were you shocked to see it was Brown once the ball was fumbled? NFL coaches are not all seeing oracles who know everything and make every correct decision. Brown's hands are simply not reliable. I don't care if Belichick and the ghost of Lombardi put him out there.

There is a problem. If you don’t recognize Noah is an unreliable receiver there is problem.
I didn't say he was a reliable receiver. I said if you can't put a receiver on the hands team, there's a problem.

When there was no expectations on him he played great, then when much is expected of him he plays like crap. Mental midget syndrome.

Why is he on the team team???
555 yards and 3 TD's from a guy expected to be the 4-5 receiver going into the season? I'm happy with that.

Admittedly he has had a few bad moments the back end of the year, but he came up big early in the season when Gallup was out and Tolbert proved to not be ready. He consistently gained yards and made a number of key plays in those early season games. He also made a great diving catch on the game winning drive late in the quarter against Houston. Then there is the fact he is a good ST player. If we can keep him next year as the 4-5 receiver I'm good with that.
