Why is the draft starting late this year ?

Us having no draft pick in the first round and the draft starting at 4 EST works for me because I have class from 1-6 today and I won't get home till almost 7 so I will miss most of the first round, but be home with plenty of time to catch our pick.

Doesn't matter much to me as I don't plan on paying much attention to the draft this year anyway but if I cared I would prefer an early start -thereby guaranteeing a late start - .

Completely agree.

I don't want to sit around watching the draft until 10 @ night.

There was nothing wrong with the Noon start time.

If anything start it at 1 if you want to go later in to the day.

On a side note im glad I live in CST and it starts at 3 and not 4 like it does on the east coast.

4 o clock is just an absurd start time.



I hate Goodell. He wants an 18 game schedule too. Way to screw up the record books Roger.

vividly skipping Jr highschool during the mid 80's to watch the draft on ESPN on Mondays and Tuesday. It'd start at 7:00 am and go on for the whole day. It was awsome.

and I still haven't gotten over the SF 4whiners jumping over my Cowboys to STEAL Jerry Rice.

I don't like the late start... But even worse, I hate moving the third round to the second day. Just another brilliant Goodell move.

When they switched up the format last year, it was all in an effort to speed the process up because the '07 first round took forever.

It worked better than expected and there would be amble time to again include the third round on Saturday the way we are accustomed to seeing it.

Instead, they keep it with only rounds one and two and move the start time back to 4 p.m.

Crazy.

I want the first three rounds on Saturday.
