Why is Vaughn on this team

Wait, this is a “I told you so” thread about a guy that didn’t play today and had zero impact on the game? And just three games into this rookie season so no one’s magic ball has any idea about him just yet? Oh boy

Yes, basically. But more specifically:
Duece is not Sanders or Sproles.
Duece is not going to split carries with Pollard.
Duece is not going to be RB2
Duece is not going to out rush Zeke
Duece is not replacing Turpin
Duece is not playing special teams

The icing was tonight when Duece didn't play a snap.

Just wanted to give those who thought any of the above a nice, new thread to state their errors. But nothing.

I haven't focused on him a bunch. I think his blocking is being overlooked. But he does have some growing to do in regards to being a receiving threat. But he is a rookie. Shultz did nothing as a rookie and couldn't block Duece.

Agreed he was given a roster spot, nobody drafts a 5'5" 175 lb rb. Nobody. There was nobody left on their draft board, so they did a coach a favor.

But more than Deuce, where was Mazi? Your NUMBER ONE DRAFT CHOICE. ONE tackle. ONE!
How about Schoonmaker? ZERO catches.
And it's not just the rookies. Cooks had SEVEN targets, and TWO catches. This a veteran receiver. Guess we know why he's on his what, fifth team?

Cowboys aren't getting better. The names change but the failures continue....

I've posted some thoughts on Mazi in this thread. He is a disappointment so far.

We all should have been alarmed when he said he didn't like playing football, just liked hitting people. That is showing. No progress.

Schoon gets a pass since he missed almost all of camp. We franchised Shultz and he was pathetic as a rookie.

Here's some trash/treasure info for you. The Cardinals are trash and won't make the playoffs. The treasure that is the Cowboys will be in the postseason. Thats the goal. Get to the playoffs and then all bets are off. Its anybodys game

How 'bout a salient point about Duece? Just to keep things on the up and up?

What really is his role on this team? Offense could have used a spark. No Duece. OL issues. More short passes? Isn't that what Duece was supposed to be so great at?

Maybe unleash that special Duece package? We saving it for later?

But yet, nothing. So what's his value? Is it that he'll just get better and better during practice? And at some point actually be good enough to contribute? Just keeping him around as a backup to the backup? As if anyone seriously thinks he can ever be a backup.

I'll admit it. This is to settle a Duece grudge.

If you're not one of the legion of Duecers I've debated the last 3 or 4 months, then just stay clear.
