Why isn't Choice playing

I suspect others are right. He doesn't block well enough and they don't see him as a better runner than Barber. Having said that I suspect this is Barber's last year here only due to money reasons.

why was he our 3rd down back last season if he cant block well?.I suspect he is Garrett's doghouse because of the "play".

because he fumbled against washington.

And because the 48 other threads didn't cover every explanation.

Once again the HC has decided (Garrett) that Barber is a better option than Choice even though we keep seeing Barber lose yardage and being taken down by shoe string tackles...whY???? very valid question why indeed.....

3. Coaches think Choice is more prone to turn the ball over.

I feel I've seen this thread before, every week.

2) Choice is not as good as you think.

Choice has had one fumble since in the NFL.

It is not what I think, or any of us fans think, .. when he was given a chance in '08 against very stout defenses, he showed up and performed great.

That is fact, not opinion.

Fact: Marion Barber has also had good games since 2008.

Another fact: You don't get to see how the 3 backs play in practice, how well they understand film, etc.

You're never going to be the coach, and Garrett is smarter than you. He'll play Choice when Choice earns it over Barber.

When he ran the wildcat, he never hit the pitch man...so that play work at first, is now never run....plus on his one kickoff return, he ran right into the pile....

It's obvious they don't think he's as good as Barber and Felix. It's almost a certainty the Cowboys will look to trade him during the offseason.

let me reverse this.

why do you think you know more than an entire NFL staff who live/breathe/love football every day of their lives and see the kid day in and day out and know what he is capable of doing?

I prayed to Tebow for Choice to get 2 carries sunday! Tebow said it shall be done!

The will of Tebow be done.

Ah-Tebow.

I didn't say he couldn't block well but I don't see him blocking as well as Barber. And there is not much difference in the running. Barber does run harder. I don't know why Barber has lost that lateral jump move he used to do.

Weak argument. Never question anything our leaders or the experts do. Great. :(

If Choice doesn't get his chance here, he will get it somewhere, and we will get to watch him have a successful stint on another team.

I wonder how much Barbers contract puts him ahead of Choice. It used to have him ahead of Felix. We have seen it before.

Tashard should get more playing time. The couple of games he started he was outstanding. He will move on from here and be a better starter than both Felix and Marion. Then every anti-Choice responder on this post will say how they always thought he should be the starter.

And the people who claim that the coaches and GM know who is best, have way too much confidence in this coaching/management team who lost the entire team and have thus far have led it to a 2-7 record. Not sure where the confidence would come from but whatever...

Are you serious?... Please explain why you'd have an ounce of confidence in the decision making of our glorious 2-7 team. This is the same staff that took 7 weeks to realize Akwasi Owusu-Anzah can't return kicks. Everyone here knew after his second game. This is the same team that gave Barber 40 million. This is the same team that thought Roy was a superstar wide receiver. This is the same team that will refuse to believe Buehler isn;t the future at kicker until it costs them in a playoff game. This is the same team that has done nothing with the Oline for three years while the fans have been saying that an Oline meltdown was on the horizon... Same team that won't get serious safety help.

Just about every decision this staff has made has cost them.

I seriously could go on and on and on and on.........

Wow, I'm glad our coaches are so dedicated to playing our very best blocking backs so that our starting QB doesn't get injured...

I suspect it is the following reasons:

1. He can't block very well in pass protection. From what I have seen, he isn't very good at it.
2. Coaches/Jerruh think Barber is a critical 'team leader' and want him on the field. And obviously, he is a better blocker than Choice.
3. Coaches think Choice is more prone to turn the ball over.

I don't think he is in the dog house....just doesn't seem like something Garrett would do. In terms of pure running ability, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Choice is better than Barber.

I would play Choice more, but I guess reasons 1-3 are important drivers for Jerruh and Garrett.
