Notice that Ware's hand already is off the ground in that picture. When you're on the line and you move BEFORE the ball is snapped, you're probably going to get flagged, even if you're not quite across the line early.

Plus I'd add that in the last 1;40 of the game, the refs should have stopped the clock for 20 seconds when it took forever to get the ball back after a Barber run. There were a couple plays of mass confusion. Running out of time became an issue and forced some plays. Yes that is an excuse, but I did analyse some of the last 2 mins of game.

I guess I don't understand how the defensive offside works still, because dang, that ball is moving back before Ware's legs are parallel with it. He can't help it if he can run with his body on such a low angle to the ground with his head 2 yards ahead, hehe.

I need to add more frames to the beginning to show the original position of the ball when the center had it raised before he flattens it for the snap.

I thought that movement was a little too much.

Not that it matters but I don't think it would have been out of line to call a false start on that play.

It wasn't a false start kind of move, it's more of him getting ready for the snap by leaning forward and the ball went flat with him, but it does change the neutral zone by inches.

There was an offensive penalty on the play regardless of all of this, that wasn't called, and it was illegal hands to the face by Diehl on Ware. There may also have been the same against Ellis too, just didn't notice it until now haha damn.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why Romo didn't roll out to his right in that play. Tons of open real estate out there gone to waste...

Unbelievable. According to the animated gif, Ware once again timed his release perfectly. It's in parallel motion with the ball.

The refs are an atrocity.

I agree completely that te refs blew the call but look how much room Romo had on the right side. He could have tucked and ran for at least 20 yards. While I do like the way he is always looking downfield, sometimes he needs to take advantage of what the D gives him. If they give him room to run then he needs to tuck and go. If he does it enough they will have to put a spy on him which will help to open up things downfield by pulling someone out of coverage.

It was unnecessary roughness for "hitting a player who was out of the play."

Was that the exact explanation?

That's what I remember. I can't for the life of me understand what they meant. Bigg though Strahan could get back up and sack Romo.

Any explanation for this?

I'd love to see Mike Pereira on NFLN explain this one.

The intentional grounding call was horrible, but this is the one that really disgusts me.

Yes -- "Personal foul, unnecessary roughness, hitting a player who was out of the play."

It is a rule. But I don't agree that Strahan was "out of the play."
