Why not Block in the back on the INT return for a TD?

Just something I noticed during the end of the game and haven't seen it mentioned once.

Why didn't they call the clear and obvious "Block in the Back" on Dak during the return? Happens at about the 38... 10-yard penalty. Could have changed the outcome.

Missed it, but they still would have lost in that spot.

Doesn’t matter. Five seed with a win, five seed with a loss.

I KNOW dak was contacted in the back, but I'm letting that one go as a ref. Dak had already overrun it. He got "blocked" in the back only because he was running the wrong direction by that point. Not exactly the same, but I compare this to someone turning their back to the blocker.

Alright, now go ahead and kill me.

The ref was ready to go home.

I believe the defender needs to be running toward the ball carrier to call block in the back?

Pretty bad non-call but I doubt it would have made a difference

It look like he made contact from the side. No ref is going to call that at that moment of the game unless it was blatant.
Didn't matter. We shouldn't have been in that spot anyway.

The NFL rule book clearly states that when a player is about to make a game winning play against the Cowboys no official shall ever throw his flag for any reason and if he does he will be overturned by New York. Yall aint learnt the rules yet?

I think the refs weren't calling anything. Go watch the replay of the 3rd and 10 long pass to Noah Brown. After the play, Jags player wearing #2 run up along the sideline apparently taunting Noah Brown and the Cowboys bench. The ref was watching this and didn't throw a flag. I have seen the Cowboys and others flagged for a lot less.

<sarcasm> Blocked from the side. Couldn't be clearer. </sarcasm>

Dak was attempting to get in position to make a tackle.

Not mad. Not crying. Just observing. Shoulda been called.
