Why not Block in the back on the INT return for a TD?

i thought it was a great block, dak is lucky he didnt get hit harder

It’s not a block in the back because the blocker initiates contact with his head in front of Dak’s shoulder. Once that happens it’s not a block in the back. Even when Dak turns into the block it doesn’t all of a sudden become a block in the back.

This thread makes me realize how many people really don’t understand the game. What’s next complaining about all the lineman illegally downfield on a screen pass?

Especially since he was hit on his throwing shoulder.

I would like to know the percentages of qb's in the last 10 years who made the tackle after their interception compared to the ones that took big hits and were not even close/or is wasnt worth it

Its a 50/50 call, depending on what angle you are watching the play from and even the people on the Break didnt agree if a flag should have been thrown.

Nick Eatman said yes, it should have been a flag but Derrick said no, he was fine with the no call at that point in the game.

So even the paid analyst at DC.com dont agree on if it should have been a penalty or not. And even if the penalty is called, the Jags are still in FG range, their kicker was nailing 56 yard kicks in pregame, so this is really a moot point, flag or no flag, we still would have lost.

Are you accounting for the penalty yardage with the FG range?

J/K - I don't care about what might or might not have happened, had they erroneously flagged it.

The players cant do that, it might be in their contracts, but if they did it would have to be whole team not just a couple of guys.
The only player to walk off during a game was Brown in the tampa game and he was crucified, and no longer playing in nfl.
He did it cause his coach told him to leave , so he did in a dramatic fashion.

But goodell would freak out, as the network would be furious for a game to be stopped and forfeited.
Tough!!!!!!!!!! Something has to be done about the serious NON-CALLS and if ALL the players walked off during a game you can bet something would be done ASAP to insure this doesn't happen again. The NFL could do what baseball does, have a guy up in the box reviewing game film and if he spots a NON-CALL personal foul he could radio down to the HC to throw a flag and that play could be reviewed for the personal foul or unsportsmanlike conduct foul. The officials need to get it right, or hire more officiating staff per game!

I agree with u, but the nfl likes it the way it is. And the players /coaches dont have the kahunas to do that.
