Your 1st round qb thinking is also off, because look at all the first round picks that never went to playoffs, much less SB. Mayfield is a 1st rounder , and 2 years and cant make playoffs. And he doesnt appear to be better than dak.

I'm not saying that all of the first round QBs are going to play or played in the super bowl, but most of the QB that have played in the super bowl are first round selections, that's the difference, at least one QB first round with good couches, gives you more chance of being in the super bowl, than a moron wanting to get rich, without showing that he can win big games

You know that literally 50% of the 20 Super Bowl teams in the last 10 years were QB'ed by a non-1st rounder, so you just announce up-front that he's automatically not 3 of those guys you concede as if that means anything. As if that bolsters your wrong argument.

You also intentionally leave Foles and Kaepernick off the list of names you concede because you know Dak is easily better than either of them and that doesn't fit your narrative either.

Not sure what mental gymnastics you're doing to justify narrowing the argument to only the last 10 years either. I could understand limiting it to just the Salary Cap era.

But even then, off the top of my head: Brees and Warner (three times) and Favre (two times) and Hasselbeck and Gannon and Delhomme and Johnson. And I'm too lazy to look it up right now but I'll eat my hat if Chandler and Humphries and O'Donnell were all 1st rounders. Those Super Bowls all took place during the Salary Cap era, so they're all perfectly relevant to me.

It looked to me like once the game was in Garappolo's hands, they stopped scoring. I don't know, I'm not a Dakophant, but I think SF's coaching, play calling, running game, and defense carried them to the SB, not Garappolo. I think Dak is the better player of the two.
