Why not Randle?

The biggest issues with Randle is can he stop putting the ball on the ground and has he improved his blocking.

Never been a fan of Randle. I just don't think he has it but that's just me. No way he's better than McFadden. They got McFadden cheap but they got him for a reason............

Jerry was saying the other day that Williams is a reason they didn't draft a RB late.

referring to Williams, Jerry said
"His name actually came up quite a bit (during the draft)," Jones said. "Many times we were looking at backs later in the draft that we compared to Ryan and didn't feel like they were as good as he was."

Thank you very much, I had missed that. Thats good in a way there was only 1 rb that i could have lived with and with expectation we could have gotten, But im glad we signed Days and if the brain trust feels no one was as good as we have, thats fine to. I just wanted a younger guy brought in.

At the press conference last week, he said McFadden was the reason they didn't draft a back.

I think the actual reason they didn't draft a back is neither Gurley nor Gordon fell to them and they couldn't pass on Gregory in the second round. There appears to be some information out there that supports that along with them having one targeted in the third round but the player being taken before their pick.

Apparently, they didn't think as much of Buck Allen and Mike Davis as I did.

i wouldnt pass on Gregory either. thats the way the draft goes.
