I know he got to get his head on straight and stop the dumb stuff but,
He looked good subing in for Murray acouple time. Looked more explosive and broke tackles.

I'm warming up to the prospect of Randle getting 15 carries a game this season.

If he keeps his focus I could see him getting over 1,000 yards and being the #1 back.

I've liked him ever since we got him... He now has to step up and take the job.

Count me in on this train. I think he wins the job in camp and has a good season if he can handle the wear and tear. Hoping to see 225-250 carries from him.

I think randle will do fine with limited carries as part of a rotation. He looks quicker and shifty. More so than Murray . My main concern is who gets the ball on 3rd and 2 and fourth and one?

I honestly think Randle,Williams and Run DMC will put up tremendous amounts of acreage this year.

Days will probably shock people too...he's a big un who will not have to engage till he gets to to the second level..scary !!

The difficulty is translating a few carries a game into carrying the load. Randle did well as the backup guy who took advantage of defenses focusing their attention on Murray or defenses being worn down by Murray. How will he do when he's the primary focus of defensive attention? When he's the guy being given the ball on first down with defenses stacking the box against the run?

Not knowing the answers to those questions is what bugs me. Perhaps he will handle the increase, the extra attention, etc., fine. Perhaps he won't. If you want to ask me why not Randle. That's my answer. I'd rather have a back who has proven he can handle it, or more options behind him if he can't than a player who has struggled for three consecutive seasons, a player who can't handle and a clear change-of-pace back.

Not a big sample size, but the one game last year where he got 10+ carries, he went 13 for 37 yards against Indianapolis. My big concern with him is if he is physical enough and has the mindset to get 4 yards rather than try to break it for 50.

Can he carry the load, can he be a leader, can his body handle the wear and tear. There is more than just the running. Running is easy go forward. All that comes with it is the hard stuff. They dont even know if he can stay out of trouble let alone get people to listen to him. Murray was easy, you can get in line with Murray he can rally. He wanted to win, he is no Dez, Dez wants teh cowboys to win. He really is turning into something special.

Right now we have no clue how things are going to settle down. Randle has a chance to take the lions share of the carries if he shows the coaching staff they can trust him, on field and off. Williams needs to stay healthy. So does DMC. Dunbar to me could slide off the roster if one of the UDFA rookies claims the KR job from him. I think its going to be interesting in camp because I could actually see it being a legit camp battle.

Randle represents team Pothead and I'm aware that many of you posters are on that team or at least a cheerleader for that team. Randle is not the RB answer for the Cowboys. Garrett has been harping on acquiring the RKG with the exception of a small few that have exceptional talent. Randle doesn't have that talent and he's not the RKG so he does not fit the mold to have a roster spot. For now he is just a placeholder but his days in Dallas are coming to a quick end this preseason.

For those of you that like him, I apologize for talking bad about your player but... the question was asked, "why not Randle?" So there is the answer.

Unless Randle screws up off the field before the season, he's not getting cut. If they were going to cut him for his off field incident it would have been done already. Just because you treat that statement like fact doesn't make it so. In fact I would venture a guess that you are in the smallest of minorities that believe Randle is a dead man walking.

Yeah, because you can't like Randle's potential unless you smoke weed.

Got it.

Facts? I was merely stating my opinion. Try not to be so threated by an opinion that differs from your own. By doing so you won't feel such a strong impulse to point out to others why they are wrong and you are always right. I don't regard your opinion on this matter as factual what so ever but I applaud you for making it known. We'll know soon enough who is right and who is wrong. I'm good with what ever happens.
