Why not resign Brice Butler?

There's something that the staff doesn't like about him and they love about T-Will. But, T-Will should basically be looked at as a player that this team needs to replace. Butler had some real value for us in 2016 as Dak liked to throw to him. I can't really figure out the love for T-Will other than he is an excellent blocker for a WR. But, he has terrible catch technique that narrows his catch radius and he really stunk running routes this year. The Eagles game he put in a lot of half hearted routes in there.

I wouldn't mind him back at the right price. I'd rather have him on the field than Twill.

Exactly my point.........heck we know what TWill can do. Let's see how this guy responses to starting the job with all offseason programs and preseason under his belt.

One year $5-6M and a chance at T-Will job. No ones mentioned it but other than Beasley, he appears to have the best chemistry with Dak. Why not bring him back as 2nd WRs and demote T-Will. Heck, the guy is big, tall, excellent speed and snatch catches with his hands. Yes I know he drops a few and may have some maturity issues but nothing not correctable. Bottom line......demote T-Will, give Switzer more playing time ( no way a team can shut down he AND Beasley for an entire game) may solve our WR issues.

Other words, the answers may already be on the team............

5 to 6 million a year seems like a lot of money for Butler. I'm not opposed to bringing him back, but we wont if that's the asking price.

5-6 million?

I hope you were drunk when you typed that.

Butler?? pffffftttttt (just spit my coffee)

let him go, let the majority of the WRs go....there is no QB to throw to them until someone can coach-up Dak....since we have no legit coaches on that side of the ball, the WR position group will just continue to fail....

Just Say No to Butler, Williams, Beasley and Dez (mainly from his cost being prohibitive)...clean house with the coaching staff and WR corp

Sign Donte moncrief to start opposite Dez and stop the drafting a wr nonsense. You want speed? He ran a 4.4 40. What else do you want? Unless Christian Kirk or Ridley runs a 4.3 (doubt it) they aren’t any different

What’s Moncreifs deal in Indy? I know this year was bad QB play.

Not enough touches to go around with Hilton?

The guy can't catch consistently enough to be a 1 or 2 receiver. The occasional big plays he makes doesn't change how many he gives up with his drops.

He dropped 3 passes and Dez dropped 3. His percentage caught is also higher. Granted it's on less targets but has a higher yards per catch. How do you know he wouldn't be able to handle it? I'm one who would like to see young, fast guys brought in vs these slower bigger guys but Dez doesn't really look any better.

I agree. Think he could be had for cheaper numbers than the big names but could produce like a legit #2

How come some of you guys fight so hard for mediocrity Id rather roll with a young guy before Butler. I wanted Butler but it didnt work out. Move on. Competitive rosters have to church when its needed, Its needed.

It's not a real excuse, but he hurt his ankle in the game. He was hobbled.

Hasn't Brice been here long enough to solidify playing time?.......shouldn't that speak volumes about his production. Should we really jump up and down about catching like it was a preseason game.

He’s good for about 8 games per year and injured the rest of the time...

I think your mistaking Brice for T. Will....#83....now that guy can sure drops some balls.:omg:

Same, but upgrading our WRs is job one IMO. I would like to see Butler back and competing with TWill - for the 4th WR job.

The issue is everyone we have now needs to move down the depth chart. Bring in a #1, let Dez be #2, Bease at 3, TWill/Butler at 4, Noah Brown at 5 and Switzer at 6. That is a pretty stout group if you have the right #1 or a rookie like Calvin Ridley can produce right away.

I could not agree more.

Immediately after this comment, Williams had the microphone slip out of his hands for an interception.
