Why not Todd Grantham?

There's been a lot of speculation since last night on potential defensive coordinator candidates. Names like Lovie Smith, Monte Kiffin, Ray Horton, Romeo Crennel and even Dave Wandstedt have been thrown out there. One name I really haven't heard mentioned by local or national analysts/commentators is Todd Grantham. We know he has a history with the Cowboys and Jerry's track record suggests he feels comfortable with known entities. Did Grantham leave Dallas on amicable terms and are there any obvious reasons why he wouldn't be considered for the now vacant defensive coordinator position?

He's got a good gig at Georgia...depends on whether he wants to eventually be an NFL or college HC. If he's looking for college then staying there is the best bet.

Dave Wannstead ran the bend but don't break but much of that was due to remaking the defense. Davis was not a bend but don't break
