why not use newman as a kick returner?

i really dont trust parcells judgement in kick returners.. he drafted 3 last year just to have dedric ward end up doing it for the most part. i'd just like a solid kick return man after all these years of having scrubs do the job, a guy that has the ability to take it to the house would be nice. and newman was supposively the deion of the draft a few years ago, i just dont see why we cant let him handle the job for a year and see how it turns out. you can't tell me his body type is worse for the job than dedric wards lol.
