Mostly he did not max out contracts. He was the highest paid QB in the game for a short time, but that one time contract got pushed down the road. Plus, that was before QBs were being paid 1/5th of the salary cap.the urban legend about Brady taking less is over done; he really did not take that much less. BUT he did, and the difference with the Pats also was they had a very competent FO that used that money well. If Dak had been the team player he claimed to be, he would have gotten Jethro to agree that for taking less, more would be spent on FA's at the areas of need.
I would take his first generational wealth contract, play it out, then transfer (trade) to a team more likely to win a super bowl.Depends on the situation. If a bit less means a super bowl, then I absolutely would take less.
Money is not everything. And we're not talking about the difference between 40 grand and 60 grand. You are unbelievably wealthy no matter which amount you get.
Now, would I take less from Jerry? W/ his bumbling inability to build a contender, no reason to.
Spot on.I think fans that over scrutinize Dak is a response to the fans that make cases that nothing is on him.
Your wasting precious breath.Having something resembling a run game to help mitigate time of possession would help. Not waiting until the 4th quarter before getting out of the passive play calling and passive play.
Dak and the team in general need to actually win games not just go in with the confidence that they're going to win and it will work out. You've earned nothing.
Offense needs to play the whole game with urgency.
Pointless having 2 receivers of the caliber of Lamb and Pickens and play into the conservative ball control game plan the Giants and Buccaneers wanted to play!
We franchised him, so he didn't have the choice to go to another team.I would take his first generational wealth contract, play it out, then transfer (trade) to a team more likely to win a super bowl.
The fact dak didnt do that, likely means he didnt want to win a super bowl over money...or....other teams think he cant. I think the former.
Can we just make this.....post of the year?I think fans that over scrutinize Dak is a response to the fans that make cases that nothing is on him.
Dak can do what he wantsWe franchised him, so he didn't have the choice to go to another team.
As long as it's OK w/ Tad!!!!!!!!!!Dak can do what he wants
Remember what happened in 2023? I'll tell you.Teams who have scored 30 or more points 3 or more times this year:
8 teams
Lions (4 times)............ 3-2
49ers (3 times)............ 5-0
Bills (3 times).............. 4-1
Panthers (3 times)...... 2-2
Chiefs (3 times).......... 4-0
Ravens (3 times)........ 4-1
Seahawks (3 times).... 3-3
Cowboys (3 times)...... 2-3
We're the only team that's below .500....... altho 2-2 and 3-3 compared to 2-3 can change really fast and it's not a huge insurmountable lead.
But the issue is mostly the defense. You can pick at a few random offensive bad plays.... the Dak throwaway on 3rd and goal, and the Ferguson tipped ball INT...... but a few bad offensive plays compared to like 100 bad defensive plays..... the defense carries the far greater blame.
If we scored 30 or more 3 times in 5 games........ our record should be 3-2 case closed. The only one who has scored 30+ more than 3 times is the Lions.
