The culture of this team has been uninspired and soft for years. Yet, the 3 cuts were all players that were just signed this past off season. Said players probably don't have a cozy connection with Jerry. There are more "RKG" that need to go. Come on Jerry, send a message, cut Jaylon and both Woods and lets move on.

well they still have to field a team and these three were al on the active roster....what did you think you could cut 7 percent of the game day roster with ease?

doesn’t work like that....bodies have to be replaced and you can’t just do it over night....more will come be patient

The media and fans want some heads rolling, and these are the easy pickings to calm the crowd. Yes, possible there may be more to come. We will see. No asst coaches yet probably til after the season. Jones' don't care about the record at this point.

What's this obsession with a message? The only message these moves send is the front office screwed up putting together this team.

Most teams would fire the GM who assembled this bunch. In Dallas people root for the GM, as if he's a victim of these players.

Worley is terrible and Awuzie is back. Poe was terrible last year in Carolina, and woods as well as the rookie are out playing him. Griffen......Gregory is back.

So far we have only let go players who aren't "homegrown" in our culture of mediocrity (or worse). I'll believe Jerry is starting to care when Crawford/Woods/Smith/Lewis/Anyone else goes. So far all this suggests is that Jerry was playing Scooby Doo trying to find the "anonymous voice".

Well everyone complained about Worley and Poe and they seemed like the weakest links on D so they were let go.

You could also make a case for Thompson, Crawford, but the Cowboys love Boise guys. 5 guys from that school.

I doubt Jaylon goes yet, maybe there's an outside chance for Crawford.

It doesnt make financial sense to cut Jaylon any earlier than next year:

As for Crawford, my only guess as to why he isnt already cut is loyalty. I suspect he has been a good solider and we all know how the Jones' are. That said, this is the last year on his contract so they wont have to do anything with him after the season is over.

Exactly, Jerry put this mess together, like has been doing for the last 20 plus years.

I mean they were the players who there were replacements readily available for. Not going to cut starting corners or safeties or starting LBs when there is nothing good behind them (just remember as bad as Jaylon is he is still impressing MORE in practice than the players behind him and let that speak for itself). On the offensive side are they supposed to cut the 8th and 9th OLine players for not being able to play at a high level. Maybe cut the 3rd string QB.

I totally agree with you but, we all know the GM won't fire himself so we are stuck with "messages"

Because they had one year deals with no dead money issues.

Poe was two w an easy out.

The recent big money deals come with a cap issue.

I bet there are more changes coming to the snap counts. May be acceleration of cap hits for our own guys we might cut that keep us from doing more. They're not going to cut "RKG" guys just to cut them.

We do need to put warm bodies on the field.

Jerry's incompetent contracts make it nearly impossible to cut all those deserving.

Only if their replacements aren't clearly worse.
