im wondering why everybody is on the vikings testicals this yr. did nobody notice their schedule? check it out

wk 1 at browns win
thats a given

wk 2 at lions win
really?

wk 3 niners win
niners were awful to start the yr. and vikes needed that prayer td at the end of the game.

wk 4 packers win
again nobody remember how bad gb was? they had no ol and alot of injuries

wk 5 at rams win
my goodness

wk 6 ravens win
ok win

wk 7 at steelers loss
team with a defense loss. without palumalu i might add

wk 8 at packers win
this was a good win

wk 10 lions win
see a trend?

wk 11 seahawks win
ugly ugly ugly

wk 12 chicago win
no defense. no running game. no passing game. worst qb in the nfl

wk 13 at cardinals loss
vikings got destroyed

wk 14 bengals win
bengals were bad for the last month. injuries killed them

wk 15 at carolina loss
peppers killed that team. Ap? no

wk 16 at bears loss
how do they lose to them?

wk 17 @giants win
giants were destroyed before this game. and the media announced the vikes were back

their schedule was cupcake this yr. i told people on another cowboys forum i post at about the eagles going into the final week of the reg season. eagles were garbage. they had their meat of the schedule at the begining of the yr. and they were exposed. had a easy last half. and it showed in both games. they just werent in the cowboys league. these vikings havent proved squat. what they can run on the lions rams and bears? they can throw on them too?

the vikings cant block ware or spencer. and the nfl north doesnt hit the way the east does. them wr on the vikings arent used to the physical play. and that showed in games vs the cardinals and panthers. this game should be a replay of the eagles games. if the cowboys come ready to play by halftime i expect to be relaxed and thinking about the nfc championship. their secondary is awful after winfield. and theyre lbers are ok but witten will eat them alive. and their defense has nobody that can catch felix. nobody at all.

im saying it now. get ready for the cowboys playing the cardinals in arlington. thats the game people need to worry about.

I hear everything you are saying...but this team is far more balanced on offense than any team left in the NFC other than us. We will HAVE to respect the run...we will have to protect against the big play because they have speed at WR....they can throw it to the TE and Chester Taylor. They have a big physical OL. This will be tough. The best chance of beating this team is to throw it...and throw it some more.....throw it until they puke!

Vikes have enough talent on that team to come out and play very well. Cowboys need to treat them for what they are a 12-4 team and division winner. I like our chances in this game but Vikes will not be a push over

The NFC North has nothing on the NFC East period. They don't have the Linebackers that the East does, and most of all the talent the East produces over the years. It will be a tough game granted. However the Cowboys can pull through, and put the pressure on Farve. If that happens we can easily beat them. Tough road ahead fellas! But we can do this, and I'm happy we made it this far.

They are a very dangerous team with a lot of different weapons. We are going to have to play our "A" game on both sides of the ball to beat them.

in 8 games this yr half the games f an nfl season peterson didnt even get 20 carries.tayor had 94 total carries. thats like 5 carries a game. but he was hurt this yr. but favre had 5 games with over 45 passes. thats balanced? theyre really not balanced it might seem that way because of petersons yrds. but dont get it twisted te guy broke alot of long runs. why do you think childress and favre arent on the same page?

and to the poster who said dallas should take this game like theyre playing 12-4 teams. of course. but what im saying is there should not be a reason dallas doesnt win this game. vikings arent any better then the eagles.

I agree. Running is going to be a lot harder with those 2 hogs in the middle (K. and P Williams) and of course on offense they have some big play threats. I do like the matchups in this game but I don't look at the Vikes as some chump team. Dallas will have to play a good game if they expect to move on to the NFC Championship game

LatinMind, good critique of the schedule.

I hear what you are saying and it definitely factors. But I'm of the opinion that in a league of general parity...going 14-2 or 13-3 is impressive no matter what..and they were undefeated at home.

Still...i like our chances!

I kind of like that they are undefeated at home. It puts us in the mindset we were in going into New Orleans and it might put them under a little pressure.

dallas has its own hogs in the middle. did anybody see what flozell did to trent cole this past weekend? alot of people wanna talk about how dominant the defense was. how the running game was awsome. flozell adams might have played one of the best games of his career. i didnt see trent cole make 1 single play. allen is better then trent cole. but allen isnt exactly speedy. hes alot like ware. spins and technique. occasional bullrush. but ware said himself. when flo gets his hands on him,his play is over. and noway in hell is allen as fast as ware

this vikings team reminds me alot like the 2007 cowboys team. light schedule. few games at the end that were tough games and they lost. bye and vs the giants lights out dallas.

I like our chances in this game but sorry I'm not going to sit here and act like the Vikes are some pushover team and I hope like hell the Cowboys do not look at them as anything other than a top playoff team who we can't afford to look past because as soon as you do you can forget about the NFC Championship. If the Cowboys go out and blow the Vikes out great but I don't think that will be the case, Vike has some good talent and in a 1 game situation all you have to do is play great ball that day and they have weapons that can do that.

yeah, I'm not too sure about them being balanced though it looks like they would be balanced with a RB like Peterson,,, at the very least the Cowboys have to game plan for Peterson.

The one thing I hate about playing teams that have had a cupcake schedule (like the 49ers all those years) is that their weaknesses are less likely to have been exposed AND they always end up with home field advantage. The only advantage to playing in the NFC East is that we are battle tested and forced to address all our weaknesses.

Easy there. This will not be a replay of the Eagles games. The Vikes are a tough, tough team, especially at home.

If anything, this will be like the game against the Saints all over again. The Cowboys will need to bring their A game to win.

I disagree. In recent years Minn was a very talented team but with no quarterback. Now Favre > Vick.

Plus the Vikings are healthier than Philly was.

Compared to Phil, Vikes have:
Better D-line
Better QB
Better RB
Better #1 receiver

dline yes. qb i dont think favre is any better. he just played against bad teams. rb is no question but jackson is more dangerous. rice isnt going to beat u the way jackson is.

They've got a lot of talent, very balanced team and they are playing at home.

Offensively they've got AP, Chester Taylor, Favre, Harvin, Rice, Berrian and Shiancoe. That's fantastic.

I think Berrian at the very least is very dangerous and he's probably their 3rd best WR on the team.

Defensively they have the Williams boys, Jared Allen and Antoine Winfield. They don't scare me as much defensively, but Allen is ridiculously good and can change the game.

They went 12-4 this year, you have to respect that any way you slice it.

Flip the script; they have done better vs our common opponents and are undefeated at home. They will be a tough out....but our 'Boys will take 'em!

Take a hard look at that roster---not too many holes as fars as I can see. The good news is that we can say the same thing.

right after the game dilfer and hodge were talking about this. their words basically. that cowboys have mismatches for the vikings at every stage.

weakness for the vikings

OL they cant block the edge
the secondary is bad
the lbers cant cover witten
and they cant cover the corners vs felix
