so tony romo plays golf. so what?
michael jordan played golf in the offseason. ben roethlisberger plays golf in the offseason. troy aikman and emmitt smith played golf in the offseason. lots of athletes play golf. so what?!
(personally, i think golf is a waste of time, and athletes would be better doing something like crossfit in the offseason, but whatever.)
kareem abdul-jabbar practiced yoga. herschel walker practiced ballet (!). lots of athletes practice a martial art. having another physical activity outside of their sport helps them stay sharp and refreshed but also stay in tune with their bodies.
romo's quotes about golf helping him improve and focus on football show he's not just fooling around. his quotes about picking the brains of other successful, elite athletes show he has a singular focus on being one of the best. AND, his quotes about realizing how insignificant he is outside his sport show he's NOT a hollywood kind of guy.
i know this is a dead horse, but the latest story on romo and tiger woods stirred up the old canards... i just don't get how anyone can believe he has anything but the right attitude.
