Why the Cowboys struggled to score or move the ball against Jets at times

Hello? This is not about points scored. It's about same mistakes which happened last year are happening now. With better training and effort, those missed blocks can and should be improved upon. The key is to recognize the mistakes and fix them.
They had absolute control of the game. They had the ball for 43 minutes and had around 130 yards rushing against 1 of the top defenses in football.

Scores 30 points

Trouble scoring

Huh?
Let’s not be silly. We know what the post is implying— we’re struggling in the red zone. 30 points is indeed great, however, even with the defense giving you short field, some of those field goals should have been touchdowns. There is no reason for us to struggle as hard as we did in the red zone and now is the time to assess where we are going wrong in the red zone while we have “less tough” opponents coming up in AZ and NE. This struggle in the red zone issue will come up big time against teams like San Fran, Philthy, Miami, LAR, who will likely take advantage of this issue.

Umm I made this post on game day and the tears shed at my heat seeking truth arrow were hysterical.
Some fellow posters get too emotional or offensive as if someone is calling out a family member or something. Crazy.

I remember when I used to play, the next day, the team would watch tape over the previous night's game, recognize the mistakes and practice afterwards trying to fix them. No one got offensive if one was called out by the coaches for missing an assignment, even if we won the game by a blowout. We understood it was part of recognizing any mistakes needed to get fixed in order to perform even better.

Sometimes you just have to give credit to the other team's players. Mosely is one of the best in the league. Notice how quickly he recognizes the play and gets to the point of attack before the ball carrier. It is not that he isn't blocked by design. He isn't blocked because he gets to the ball carrier before the blocker can get to him. This is the entire point of recognition and anticipation. It is what make a great LB instead of a good athlete who seems to be a step late all the time. LVE does not have those instincts, although not many LBs do.

Nope. Watching the plays in the OP video, CJ Mosly could have been blocked with better effort from our blockers.
Yes duh, some plays could have been done better. So what? Do you think every teams offense never makes mistakes? Never holds a primary assignment for to long. Some of the plays were schemed. Some were just flat out good plays by moseley in recognition and response time. Some of the plays were misses. But without knowing what the actual responsibility of the offense players on that play call all this thread is doing is complaining for the sake of it.

 Unbelievable. What is wrong with you guys? We struggled to score TDs in the red zone during the 2nd half and instead settled for field goals. Wanting to watch tape, recognize mistakes and try to fix them should always be of importance no matter if the Cowboys win a game or not.

Disagree. I can see room for improvement.

They will make adjustments as needed. They were conservative with the calls intentionally. They gave the Jets no chance of winning the game and are saving plays for future opponents.

I am shocked you are liking those two trolls posts
I'm simply showing tape which shows there can be room for improvement. That should be the goal for every player on this team, not complacency. I'm pretty sure Micah Parsons would disagree with you.

I am not being complacent .... the loss of Zeke has not been replaced, or he would have gotten those guys.

My post was you liking 2 obvious trolls posts because they agree with you.

Chess to your checkers. McCarthy knows what he is doing. See Cowboys and see Chargers.
If you can't handle positive criticism, go post in another thread. These continued short run fails whether at the goal line or between the 20s will hurt the team against better teams.

I don't care if anyone agrees with me or not. I'm simply pointing the obvious and what hopefully gets fixed. The Cowboys were in the red zone 6 times vs the Jets. 2/3rds of those trips (66%) ended up in FGs. Inexcusable. Cowboys' 50% red zone touchdown rate this season through two games is tied for 21st in the NFL. That should be concerning, especially since much tougher opposing teams are soon to come.
