Why the Parsons pick didn’t matter

It doesn't matter that the Cowboys drafted one of the top 3-4 defensive players in the league in just his rookie season???

I’m sorry but I can’t agree with your insistence that we go back to a 3-4 defense…….

It doesn’t matter if drafted Parsons who is obviously a superstar in the making….we got lucky Surtain was gone

It doesn’t matter because the Jones’s have zero strategy on building a team besides being cheap

What kind of team are we?….a running team?…a passing team!…a strong defense team?….who knows because it changes yearly with the same results

One draft pick we lucked into won’t change anything….we desperately need a team direction and legitimate GM
The Cowboys are one of the best drafting teams in the league. Parsons may be the best player in the league. You need more brain cells. The Cowboys are a good team.

Will McClay begs to differ! Since 2014, he's picked 10 Hall of famers. There's no such thing as "Lucked"! In case you missed it, Dallas's Defense is expected to be in the top 5 heading into the 2022 season.

Let’s give Quinn a chance. He’s only in his second year and he inherited the worst defence in Cowboy history.

This team has not had an identity since the 1990’s. It seems like Dallas’s identity changes depending on who they draft from year to year. I don’t understand why it is so hard to draft players that fits an identity and fits the systems that the offense and defense uses.

I'm just glad fan negativity doesn't matter in building a team.
You have to ask yourself why there is so much negativity in the largest fanbase in the league? There is an obvious reason. I think it is asking for a little much for fans to see nothing but butterflies and rainbows while wearing rose-colored glasses. 25+ years of being a fan of a soft, losing team tends to bring out the worst in the fanbase.

Cowboys drafted the best defensive player in the nfl

It doesn’t matter

Brad never mattered. Deion never mattered. L. Taylor never mattered. Rice - nope. Donald? Ha, he’s a nobody.

Hot take: Micah Parsons 100% changed the trajectory of the defense by himself and resurrected people’s faith in Dan Quinn. He’s not a superstar in the making. He IS a superstar and a legend in the making.

What is this even about? What doesn't matter? Parsons definitely matters to this team and defense. Not sure what type of drugs you are on today......they've told you this offseason they plan on running the football and playing defense.

How good was this dude that Diggs isn’t even the most important or impactful guy on the defense. A guy with 11 sacks picks was grossly overshadowed. Parsons absolutely has the chance to be one of the greatest players ever. I feel 100% confident saying that.

11 picks*

Wouldn’t let me edit.

Based on his rookie season? You have to expect him to be one of the best to do it. So its silly to say he "doesn't matter". You can say that about Josh Ball or someone but not Parsons?

We can't run because of Sequel Elliott.
We can't pass because of Dak.

We can't defend because of the two above clowns mentioned.

Yes. If they are forced into doing something they don't really want to do odds are it will pay off big. See Micah and Zack Martin.

They are a colossal set of morons. This can't be overstated.
Great post! Been saying that for years. Pitsburgh takes Taco and Jerry says da--, I guess we have to take Watt.
