With Dak's tired arm, and Tyron sitting out after one day of padded practice, Cowboys should come back the the realization that the Dallas Cowboys do not have a Head Coach that knows players and a GM that knows how to assemble a football team.

Do you really think you are going to contend for a Super Bowl with a Top 10 QB coming off a major injury with Cooper Rush, Gilbert, and DiNoodle as back ups? See Jimmy Johnson handle the initially often injured Troy Aikman with Steve Beuerlein, and Bernie Kosar

Do you really think you are going to contend for a Super Bowl with a DL of players that could not start for their previous team or who has not played a full season in 4-5 years? See Tex/Gil build 2 Doomsday DL, and Jimmy Johnson rotate Haley, Jeffcoat, Tolbert, Maryland, Casillas, Hennings, Lett, and Jones to back to back Super Bowls.

Do you really think Tom Brady is shaking in his boots with 3 ex Achilles heal injured players in the secondary, a second year CB, players off the scrap heap, and a couple of rookies new to the NFL? If the Cowboys are wounded Knee at LB, they are fresh meat or Elvis Patterson (Toast) at DB.

Do you really think an OL that has shown signs of injuries and sub par play is suddenly going to be the Great Wall of Dallas? This group will not make anyone forget 4 Irishman and a Scott let alone the Great Wall of Dallas.

If your answer to any of these questions is yes, you to are a Dumbo GM like Jerry "Dumbo GM" Jones and a Head Coach like Mike "basement massage parlor and NFL video vault voyeur" because you too watched every play in the NFL last season.

Trade for starting DT and DE, get a credible back up QB, and make sure you have a cohesive 2nd team OL. If not, the sky will fall in Jerry World.

talk about an overreaction. QB needs to sit out 2 days and our olineman who had neck surgery needs 1 rest day. Would you rather risk further injury in camp or have them ready for game 1?

Lamar jackson got covid and will miss 10 days of camp shall they cut him because the sky is falling in baltimore?

Your post is the epitome of everything I dislike about this forum and some of negativity. All of the guys you listed as backups were injury prone, and recovering, there is upside to these guys and Cooper is as qualified as Beuerline was at the time. All the DL lineman you mentioned from the 90's were put together over time much like you see Gallimore and a guy like Odighizuma, Bohanna and not to mention drafting parsons! There is no reason that with as good as we draft that it all comes together. Shall I remind you that our defense didn't really come together until Charles Hayley was put into place? Again, just another poster not willing to look for any sunlight..

Tom Brady? he was solid, but the defense and coaching was just as important. And yes, if Quinn gets the defense installed players buy in, I can see Tom having trouble moving the football against Hooker, Wilson and some of these darn good looking CB's we've brought it. Yes, Tom Brady is the best, but to assume that they will repeat is ludicrous. It comes down to the coaching at this point, we have more than enough talent.. the only thing you got right is Jerry is hard to overcome...

Dak's arm has to be rested because he threw a football,, a football, it weighs what a pound or so... Tyron was throwing grown men, 6'4 250lbs plus around yesterday, I can see his arm being tired.

They build off talent instead of cohesion, because they don't have a defined identity.

Physical or finesse? Pick one and stick with it for pete's sake.

Do you think the players are robots that never fatigue or need a break? These things happen. Big Mike knows his players just fine and Jerry through his son Stephen and Will McClay have assembled a Super Bowl contender this season.

Yes, it's just hard for your hating eyes to see it.

Yes, the DL is going to be one of the better in the league... bookends DLaw and Randy Gregory with Gallimore and Bohanna filling in between. They are much improved. :p

I hope Tom Brady is overconfident. Our secondary will embarrass him if he fails to show them the proper respect. Just wait and see. :D

You disrespect the OL so much you have to mention them again? The first time wasn't enough? They aren't robots, they get fatigued if worked out enough. They get rest and treatment and bounce right back. They'll be ready for game time. Again, wait and see.

LOL, The "Dumbo" is you with your poor spelling and thug mentality. Do you think just because your sorry butt says something it makes it so? It means nothing, less than nothing. I say yes to these questions and I'm right on every count. :)

SMH, Listening to your bad advice makes me so glad you aren't running the show. You are nobody and you have nobody's perspective on how to run a team. You should shut up and stop embarrassing yourself. ;)

So ridiculous..

jeffcoat drafted in 83
Maryland 88
Hennings 88 11th round
Tolbert 89
Maryland 91
Lett 91 round 7

these players were developed here. You don’t build a D line over night and the idea that the current group are just career backups who couldn’t play for anyone else is laughable. People want to build through the draft, just not at Dline. Maybe we can purchase a 33 year old with an 8 year old pro bowl on his resume. Casillas and Haley were special cases. You don’t score vets like that in today’s nfl without over paying! A lot of things fell into place for the Cowboys to land both. All on top of the Herschel trade. You aren’t building a team like that anymore!

plus it’s year 2 with a new coach. Do you really think this roster is ready? Specially when they weren’t ready after the past 10 years!

Ive been fishing a lot lately because of these threads..

It's understandable. I'm keeping my participation with this website to a minimum. No wonder so many people say Cowboys' fans are the worst. The whining is way too prevalent for so many who fancy themselves as fans. TC is barely starting and it's already a total disaster?! It's sickening. Thank goodness for the Olympics.
