I may be in the minority opinion here but the ONLY thing similar in comparing McCarthy to Payton imo is the overall win-loss record.

McCarthy couldn't even dream of doing the overall coaching job Payton is doing/has done.

Context matters.

Indeed . Jerry is so delusional he thinks a coach is an overrated position when he is the GM . He thinks 500 coaches can win: !!
The pay shows it, and thst is why Payton was never even approached. Not to mention Payton would not allow Jerry to make the calls.

Yes , Or better , watch Bisciotti owner of the ravens , he won with several Head coaches and QBs . Kraft is very good but may have lucked into Brady and a young beliceck. But hey , he has 6 rings

Worked in Europe for a while, when fans don’t like a coach or GM and want him fired , they waive white tissues or handkerchiefs , the whole stadium does and the TV cameras focus on the coach or GM , embarrassed, He usually goes away next week … I wonder why cowboys fans don’t start this .
I know fans in the USA wear brown bags when they are not happy with the team.
Just a thought as I am bewildered it has been 31 years for this team…

As a Brit, the tolerance levels i see from Cowboys fans towards the buffoon baffles me. He should be booed within an inch of life every time he shows his face. Even the thickest skinned individuals will eventually get worn down.

Have a quick Google at the Tottenham game this weekend and 60,000 fans chanting at the end.

Americans need to follow this approach.

Indeed . I recall Man U fans going after the glazers for a while .
Cowboy fans are hopeful this 83 year old buffoon will go away in a year or 2 . He is very stubborn and would rather die a loser than be proven as a terrible GM. Imagine that .
