i love the way the Pokes are playing. Cannot say enough about Dak, Zeneca, the O-line, Mo, Byron, Lee. Heck, even the O C is getting love and respect from me. Could it be that we had it all wrong and that the reason we were so predictable was not the calls from the sideline but the changes at the line by Romo? Linehan seems to be running when they expect pass and passing when they expect run. Dak's preparedness, awareness and composure is lights out!!! He is Special!

But we have not played a single game with an opponent who has a winning record. I am not judging, it is just a fact. This weekend is a huge test. I expect us to win. We have too many weapons for any defense. Our coaching staff is mixing the plays perfectly and Dak is mastering the little things. However, he is so fundamentally sound it is incredible. He runs the offense like he is on warp speed and the defense is playing in slow motion. He is smart, athletic and can make most throws without hesitation. He throws a nice ball. On a rope when it needs to be and he can lob it softly. So much fun to watch.

Some props to the defense as well. They are doing it with bailing wire and band aids but they are getting it done. Isn't it funny that Mo is playing like Deon Sanders on his contract year? Seems like a pattern, no?

Diez is disappointing. He does have great athletic ability but no heart and certainly very short in the intellect department. As far as I am concerned, let him heal. He is a negative distraction to the maturation of T Will and Brice. Beaseley is un-coverable. Feed him the ball. Get lucky more involved as well. Find a way to use Escobar in the Red Zone. Don't rest, get better each week. Imagine what Belicheck or Johnson could do with that our talent. I am still very low on Ginger. He is a pretender. Time for that experiment to end.

Finally, where is Whiskey Wade? Does he have any part in the Dak phenomena? Jerruh wants the credit. He does not deserve it. Give it to Dak. He is mature beyond his years. I hope he just keeps getting better. Happy days are here again!!!! Cowboys 32 GB 21

I expect a competitive game but I am more concerned about the following game which is a division game.

The Eagles game is far more important than this one.

Sit Dez, and use the bye week to be fully healthy for the Eagles.

This game is not important and this whole "We haven't beaten anyone with a winning record" nonsense is just that. Nonsense. Through 5 weeks what team has beaten playoff teams every week? I'm sure if the Bengals would've beaten us they would've had a winning record. If the Commanders would've beaten us what would their record be?

If they win? Great. If the lose? Not the end of the world or season. This is just as big as any game.

Exactly. Who have the Packers played other than Minnesota where they lost.

While it may not be looked at as a must win by some, I think Dez plays if he can for these simple reasons.

A win would be a huge confidence builder and a great high for a team ready to go into their bye. A loss would put a damper on things.
You want this young team to continue to build their confidence.
You play to win the game! Every game is important and we already gave one game away to the Giants.

The next 11-12 weeks are critical. Absolutely critical in determining our record and playoff positioning.

This. You can pin the title of this post on every game we have the rest of the year. there's always an angle of importance with every game.

You must have a short memory. Our offense is much more predictable now than it was under Romo. We run a very predictiable, safe offense. That's not a bad thing if it works. But our offense under Romo was much more varied and aggresive.

I look at the next two games this way:

Green Bay - important from a confidence stand point
Eagles - Important for division and playoffs stand point
Both - Important no matter what the reason is. Teams only have 16 chances to win in the NFL so all games are important.

GB game could absolutely decide a playoff spot. If we're in a Wild Card (or even two Division winners) situation, the head to head can be crucial. Assuming the WC, a win vs. GB effectively puts us 2 1/2 games ahead of them. They would have one more loss and we'd take them head to head. That's big.

An NFC game against a sub-.500 Lions team later in the year is not as big a deal. I expect GB to be in the running for at least a WC and possibly their division if the Vikings stop winning via defense/special teams. Injuries will catch up to them.

Or could it be the Dak gives the Linehan more options than Romo did... oh heavens no

When you only play 16 they are all important. If any are more important that would be division games. But since my dream is getting the last pick in the draft then just winning out is the best option
If our defense can play every week like they did against the bengals then no game scares me

I think every game is important, however I don't think every game is a make or break game that seems to be hyped up every week among the fans either.
