Why Wade is back, and why the goalline failure may help

Wade is done after this year. A blind man can see it.

People said the same thing last year after the Ravens back to back 70 yarders and the Eagles debacle to close the season. Somehow the fat man found his way back...

We need butt kickers at all times to have our ultimate success because their is just to many distractions surrounding this franchise and the focus can be lost so easy.

That is absolutely an issue.

The team will never stop being a lightning rod for distraction.

With the Super Bowl in Dallas next year, we might actually get some help from the refs, because the NFL would love the money maker of Dallas having a home Super Bowl.

Either that or we'll get ridiculously jobbed in order to purposely keep us out of it.

If the NFL was concerned about teams having home Super Bowls, the Dolphins, Buccaneers, Chargers and Saints would have been to one of their own over the years. They never have.

Wade lost his job yesterday. So did Garrett. He is the worse OC in the entire NFL imo. At any rate, the last three games are a mere formality for what will ultimately happen to those two.

JJ was clearly distraught at the end of the game. But he has only himself to blame. Keeping Wade after last's years humiliating losses was such a dumb arse move. Who did not see this coming? And Garrett needed a mentor at the very least. He was a bad QB, and JJ was a fool to hire him as the Cowboy OC without the necessary credentials.

I'll tell you what I didn't see coming, though. The way the defense responded when DWARE went down. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I couldn't believe that the entire defense, Wade's specialty, the only reason he's kept his job so far, would lay down like ugly, stinky, dog-poop carpet and let SD pass all over them. No fight, no guts, no nothing. That just sickened me. Humiliating and shameful.

That is a reflection of a coach who lacks leadership, who lacks fire, who has a bend but don't break philosophy, instead of a destroy until dead philosophy. The man plays not to lose.

And he just lost his job.

And no, JG is not the next HC of the Dallas Cowboys. He'll be lucky to get demoted. My guess is Mike Holmgren. Romo needs the leadership. Though he's really stepped up this month. But he's done it all on his own. That's why its imperative JJ get a QB nurturing HC like Holmgren. Romo would be a monster QB with a coach like that.

That's what I have to look forward to these next three games. The end of the Wade and Garrett puppet show.

I don't think they quit. They just aren't good enough and our staff can't put them in positions where they can win the matchups. Yelling at reporters and trying to artificially motivate themselves obviously doesn't work.

What this team is missing is the extra push from a quality coaching staff. Most of the schemes we used yesterday, especially on defense on third down were bad. That is supposed to be Phillips' forte.
I don't think they quit either. If so, they would have not had a 99 yard drive after getting stuffed on 4 downs like they did, and after Folk missed ANOTHER FG. I gotta tell ya, when you are battling your A off in a close game to have a FG kicker miss a kick is demoralizing. Agree on the defense of 3rd down. Specifically, they had a 3rd and about 6. Jenkins lines up at the 1st down line THEN WHEN THE BALL IS SNAPPED HE BACKS UP. I don't get it man. We are 10 yards off the ball against WR's that are 6"4"!

True, but if they don't start yelling at the media none of the "distractions" this week would have been there.
If they spent have the effort they do to try and convince the media of how good they are out on the field on Sunday instead this wouldn't be a problem

Agreed. There have been times I have seen the team or some players quit, there have been times where I have claimed they lacked heart.

I have not seen that recently or the game yesterday. This season maybe just a play or player or two at times but for the most part they have played hard.

They have just made mistakes, whether that be players and or coaching.

They were playing 10 yards off on 3rd down and 5. My suspicion they are playing the way he is telling them to but we don't seem to be able to leverage our strengths

Wade gave up, the moment they were within FG range on the last drive they should have kicked it, to have some time on the clock left for the other drive they needed...

Actually, a blind man can't see anything. But if CowboysZone was in braile, a blind man definitely could read that Wade is done.
