Sherman was fired because he is an inept coach....it's as simple as that.
The guy has never been more than a offensive line coach and then he's given the HC/GM job in Green Bay. Everyone knows that Brett Favre runs that team.
Brett brought that team to the playoffs year after year under Sherman, but it was Sherman who made the bone-headed calls at crucial times in playoff games that cost the Packers playoff wins. When Brett played good, the Packers won. When Brett played bad, the Packers lost.
If Sherman was a good coach, the Packers would have won some of those games that Brett was playing bad in. But the Packers never won a game where Favre played off par.
Sherman was merely riding the coattails of Brett Favre.
