Just answer me that question..?

I won't get into anything else about this Iggle game because it was just a null game with the Jints win earlier in the day.

But if the plan all along was to pull the starters in the event of a Jints victory or at least the important starters..

..why is Romo in the game..? Even for one play..?

The team had to be monitoring the last 2 minutes of that game and that was right about the time Romo took the field. And the Jints were ahead by 10 points..pull Romo.

Put McGee in for the first series or two until the Jints/Jets game was concluded. Be safe, not season ending sorry. You owe this to the players on the team, the fans, the owner if not just be cautious for the sake of sound coaching decision.

But no..Garrett does it the Garrett way and that's cost this team dearly for the umteenth time this year. He vowed earlier in the week the team was going to prepare like this was a championship game and wouldn't play the game scoreboard watching.

Insane. Somebody needs to tell Garrett this is the NFL and that more matters than him playing the game like it's his personal agenda at stake.

This is the craziest decision made by Garrett this year and will cost this team a division championship this year.

You do not play your star player when the outcome means nothing and you have a winner-take-all game still to be played. Ware shouldn't have played a down, nor Felix nor Ratliff and a few others.

This Garrett is not our HC of the future. I've been a fan of this team since 1965 and never seen any of our coaches make decisions like he makes. And not just poor decisions, but game turning and season turning decisions. And he's making them weekly, now.

I know Troy Aikman is a good friend and supports Garrett in the media and such and to me has been a guy in Jerry's ear about this hiring of Garrett from the beginning, but even he has to be rolling his eyes at his buddies first full year in the NFL as headcoach.

Remind me next time Aikman decides to recommend somebody, to hit the mute button. He hasn't a clue. Neither does Garrett.

The Giants game was not over when we took the field. In fact, the Jets were only down by 6 at the time.

In the words of Romo himself, its football season and football players play football.

Your anger is misguided here. If you're going to be upset, be upset with this putrid offensive line thats nearly gotten the best player on this team killed three times in two seasons.

Yup.

This ain't rocket surgery.

I don't think any coach would have played it differently.

Even once he knew about the NY game, most coaches would have stuck with starters through the half or at least hoped to see the starters score before pulling them.

Why play your starters in even one quarter of preseason? Why are most starters still in games that have been decided early? Why don't backup QBs take the meaningless snaps for handoffs or kneel downs? They are paid professionals.

Garrett did exactly what other coaches in the NFL would have done?

Lets not forget that meaningless game where Coughlin played all of his starters against the Patriots in their 18-1 season.

People said Coughlin was a genius for playing his starters in a game that had no meaning to the Giants in week 17.

He did it anyway, refusing to lie down and let the Patriots get to 16-0 against a bunch of backups.

Then, they meet up in the Super Bowl....

Point is, Garrett decided to roll with the starters... even when they knew the outcome of the Philly game was meaningless. And for good reason. Does this team look like it can "turn it on" whenever it pleases? Especially the defense? Yeah, some guys are nicked up. Every team has players like that. And sure, someone like Ware can turn it on whenever its needed. But given the teams struggles on defense recently... more reps is probably a good thing. Iron out the kinks as best as you can.

... because he's a football player?

Thank you very much - this team is 8-6 and we are thinking about CRUISING for a game? God Almighty, the fan mindset around here mirrors the lackadaisical attitude that has rotted the foundation of this franchise... Your starting QB STARTS in this league.

Everyone's gosh darned Nostradamus after a game.

This.

Also, I know we all like to play coach / armchair QB. If I were the coach I probably would have played Romo a series or two like a preseason game just to get him some reps, try and get a solid drive in to work off of for the next game. That would have been my thought process and I wouldn't have thought twice about it even if I knew Gints were up 10 and the game over.

Do you not think that Patriots fans go crazy when Brady is still in the game when they're up 40-10 on someone?

Sure he is. I'l bet you wanted to run Jimmy Johnson out after his first year also didn't you? After all, he won less than Garrett.
