Jones will hire a coach that will WANT to run the 3-4.

You're the one being illogical. The vast, vast majority of coaches in college and the pros run the 4-3. By restricting himself to 3-4 guys, Jones would be missing out on a lot of talent. You don't tell quality coaches who they can hire or what system to run. Well, you do if you're a lousy, incompetent, arrogant owner. Bill had the latitude to bring in the 3-4, and the next coach should have the same amount of freedom.

Jones won't hire a coach that wants to totally revamp the defense with the 4-3 and us spending more draftpicks, more free agent signings, more 4-3 coaches, and more resources that will take more years and more seasons to accomplish.

He will if he wants to win. Bill basically put the 3-4 together in two years. Tearing it down won't take that long, but it must be done. You won't attract quality candidates by telling them what they can and cannot do. Do you pine for the days of Gailey and Campo? Would you tell Sinatra he can only sing Christmas songs?

Give it up. We're running a 3-4 for a long time to come whether we like it or not.
