Why would a new coach want to come here with a tight budget to spend in FA?

You only get 7 picks per year. You better be doing something else to acquire talent if you want a contending roster.
You sign your own free agents. If you need an extra player here or there, it’s OK to use the free agency market. But you don’t build a team by it. we’ve had some of the best offensive lines in football history. And they were our draft choices.

Jerry and Stephen would sell it to the coach very hard that what we already have assembled is a Superbowl roster. A smart candidate would realize that this team has massive holes to fill which is why they WEREN'T successful in the season.

If we sign a new coach, that coach better be man enough to tell Jerry to let me get some groceries, and make some tough decisions about the roster on players who need to stay or go! Please give your thoughts
Because every coach wants to be a HC and contrary to fan opinions most would love to be HC of the most viewed team

Kellen Moore has gone through two HC interview cycles with Carolina and Miami making it to the final two candidates. He would jump at this job in a NY second.
How well do you think he’d be? He’s very smart, knows Jerry very well so he knows what he’d be getting into. But I don’t think he’d be in my top 5 list. But he is likely in Jerry’s and that’s the only list that matters.

Because there is only 32 head coaching jobs in the NFL. It’s not like these job openings grow on trees and are consistently open. Ask guys Like Mike Vrabel and Bill Belichick last coaching cycle.

do you not think a guy like Kellen Moore, but not jump at a situation to be the head coach?

People on here have too much of a personal agenda and vendetta towards this team and do not see the big picture.

2 reasons.

1. Young coach getting his 1st opportunity to be ahead coach.
2. You are a proven coach taking a guaranteed contract that you convinced the morons who own this team you watched every play the last few years and can right the ship even though you really just want to take the money and walk around high fiving players for celebrating losses.

I think he would be awful. At no point in his career have ever thought of him as a leader of men. His dad was a very successful HS football coach but I don’t see it with him and his persona. What I don’t like is if Dak is pushing this narrative….

If you're going to sign your own free agents, then you might as well sign other's. What's the difference? Sign the better player. We've dealt out countless contracts to our guys only to be disappointed with their production.

Any MAN would want to....coaches have huge egos and want Bing paychecks. I wouldn't want anyone that would even have to think about it.

I think a lot of people fail to realize that coaches love to coach and maximize the growth of what they're given. Its not about how much they can spend on a roster, thats what the front office guys get paid to do. Give a guy who just loves coaching football 50 random guys off the street and they'll jump at the opportunity.

Why do you think the Cowboys have a tight budget? We already know they could create $100M in cap space if they wanted too. We've already been over this.
Same way you constantly rehash mm being fired, what if you were fired as a mod and they hired a more experienced poster with thoughts that asks a lot of questions???? ;)

They are committed to winning. Fan myth to think they only care about $$$.
Good luck convincing people - I know what I think. Jerry has gone on record saying he would do ANYTHING to win another super bowl, but we all know that's a lie. 'Anything' doesn't include hiring a better GM. It doesn't include making the best out of the draft or free agency through trades or whatever.

So knowing Jerry won't really do 'anything' to get back to the top, what are people supposed to believe?

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Stephen asked point blank if they only cared about money and he skirted around the question without answering? It almost came out as an admission, but he avoided confirming the suspicions. He didn't deny them either.

Any new coach would come here for the windows with no curtains that blind the receivers.

Or they loved the circus as a child.

Or they enjoy being a puppet.

Maybe their childhood wish is to coach the Cowboys?

Most likely they were raised in a dysfunctional family.

Oh, and the squirrel brains coming to the concessions at home games.

If they’re better and they’re the same price. Usually do better signing your own players.

Thank you, it's like a coach coming in doesn't need to have his own set of balls...
