Why would a player wear his cleats when visiting the White House?

I don't come here to read about the Cowboys. I come here to get a different perspective on the NFL and the Commanders in particular. Originally, I started coming here to have some intelligent football discussions with a different set of fans, but just about everyone here drinks the blue and silver Kool-aid, so it's pretty much impossible to have any sort of meaningful discussion.

I'm a kool-aid fan of all flavors. Why settle just for one.

I am sorry, but this is just simply priceless. I had such a good laugh, and in particular the cat with the Shepard's. Laugh of the day.

Don't know what the big deal is here. Obama is a laid back guy and am sure he could have cared less about anyone wearing cleats.

Now with your division rivalry that is another story. Blah, blah no one knows until the season starts if a team starts to jell. I remember the year the Eagles were called the Dream Team. How did that work out for them?? Seattle is the front runner, OK, when I see it.

Washington may improve as a team this year. But do I know that, not.

Draft day coming soon enough. And the "sure" bets do not always work out that way. Players of extraordinary talent do not come often enough.

But thanks for this post - made me laugh.

Do you not see how ridiculous that looks?

Clowns.

And yet, ...................... here you are. LOL !

Chode.

Not nearly as ridiculous as someone that has to resort to repeated insults rather than making a legitimate point. And that has nothing to do with being a Commanders fan, Cowboys fan or any other kind of fan. It simply has to do with common decency and a level of maturity that seems to be missing from here lately. I genuinely like this board because there are a number of Cowboys posters here that are very knowledgeable, and I like debating them. I'd hate to see them stop posting here because of the antics of a few.

But hey, like you said, it's your board--if you're happy with the content here, by all means continue.

It doesn't matter if you are or are not making fun of someone--you're still talking about them. The fact is Griffin is constantly on a few Cowboys fans' minds here. You can disguise it in insults, jabs, celebrating his injury, however you want to cover it--but Griffin is the most talked about non-Cowboy player on this board. Those claiming that his knee will never be the same or he was a one year wonder or whatever might be right--he might not. There is that possibility.

But, he is an immensely talented, hard working player--in his 2nd year. Deny that all you like, there is as much, if not a greater possibility that he excels--and beneath all the gifs, pictures, insults, etc.--there is that fear. If I were a Cowboys fan, I'd be terrified that he reaches that potential with the number of weapons the Commanders have assembled.

LOL, .. I made my "legitimate point", .. sorry you didn't get it.
But since you missed it .. here it is again.

You are on our message board !!

Which is being obsessed "big time" with our organization, our fans, our team, .. to an extreme in my opinion. And then you want to say we are obsessed with one of your players !!

I find that ironic and hilarious. That was my point!

It doesn't matter if you are or are not making fun of someone--you're still talking about them.

Sure it does. What you are saying about someone has everything to do with the context that you are talking about them. The reason that you are talking about them.

If I am saying that your sister is pretty, or your son is a good athlete, .. that is an entirely different context than someone that is laughing and saying that your sister is ugly, and your son can't run and chew gum at the same time. You need to learn that that is two different things.

This time it is RG3 we are poking fun at, .. but in the past it has been McNabb, Vick, Eli, Strahan, Shanahan, Cooley, Lil Danny, .. heck we even still make fun of Theisman from time to time.

It will always be someone from another team, probably in our Division.

Listen, I am on this site strictly because I love the Cowboys. I cannot for the life of me find a good reason to be on any other teams sites.

I think it is very revealing when a fan of another team comes on this site. I don't dislike them, but I do have my opinion of why they are here.

But that's just me.

Griffin may turn out to be all the marketing machine says he is. He's from Texas after all. But, like the Cowboys, you have an owner that is clueless when it comes to running a NFL football franchise.

The feeling is more than mutual.

Huh? .. talk about not making a "legitimate point".

Oh, .. unless, of course, you are saying that "the feeling is more than mutual" that you too think it is 'ironic and hilarious' that you are so obsessed with the Dallas Cowboys.

It's ok, .. don't feel bad, .. many people are.

Us as Commanders fans being here doesn't mean we're obsessed with the Cowboys. We just like to get a different perspective on the NFL, NFC East, Cowboys, etc. You should really step outside the box sometime and try to learn a little more than just what you read in Cowboys Nation. If you do manage to find a good rival board, you can learn a lot. But stay here if you like. Keep the same perspective you've always had, ignore other message boards and continue to just learn about the Cowboys if that's your desire. But I chose to come here and attempt to converse with Cowboys fans. What a naive thing that was! But not all fans are like the majority of CZ.

I must be honest. When I have visited Extremeskins all it has done is reinforce my already low low opinion of Skins fans and the delusion.

When I have visited Igglephan it does not paint a pretty picture of what the Filthy Eagle fans are like.

So, yes you may be naive. But I will add, you have come to a place where the classiest and best sports fans in all of pro sports come to post. Dallas Cowboys fans are by far the most decent and classiest of all sports fans.

Yea, .. it kinda does.

Like I told Sonny though, .. don't feel bad, it seems like a lot of people are. He has upwards of almost 1,600 posts here.

So at least when you come here, don't accuse us of being obsessed with a skins player.

We're not, .. it will be somebody else next month.

I lived in Skins territory spending 30 years of my life around idiots obsessed with all things Dallas Cowboys 24/7/365. I know what all Skins fans are like and there isnt a one who has any class or decency when it comes to football. I treat all of you with the same respect and dignity I witnessed and received for that 30 yr period.

Like it or not, its true. You are one of them. If you dont like the label, maybe you should identify yourself with a different team and a different fan base.

No class or decency when it comes to football? I've never even discussed football with you because all you're interested in doing is insulting Commanders players and fans.
