I just don't see any WR worth a 1st round pick in this draft that is better than Bryant, much less the recent Pro Bowl top 20 level wide recievers.

It would be good to list the games played. Some don't have good stats due to injury.

2017 is not enough time.

Can't judge a player in Cleveland.

2014 and earlier seemed very predictable.

Kevin White - Only played 5 games due to injuries.

DeVante Parker - Maybe a true bust. Only started 24 of 42 games played.

Nelson Agholor - Decent numbers in 2017 but didn't start all games. Seemed to be over-drafted at the time of the draft.

Conclusion - Avoid any WR with injury issues even if minor if drafting in the 1st.

I'm all for improving the roster, and I understand Dezs numbers were down last year, but the people that want him gone aren't looking big picture.

The drops were bad, but how about the OL being hurt? Dez being banged up? Lowest catchable ball percentage?

Drafting a WR early in a weak class at the top won't fix the issues we had last year.

Have to agree that taking a WR at 19 is fool hardy. If we should trade down and Ridley is there then would be more apt to take him in the 25 to 28 range. Trading up for anyone is fools gold, has always been that way for the most part especially in Dallas. It appears this draft is loaded with 2nd/3th round guys and adding those picks would be a better option unless someone just falls.

I think the last three drafts (2015, 2016, 2017) is EXACTLY why teams are shy to draft a WR high and they're resorting to over paying for guys like Watkins and Allen Robinson. JMO. Are there any #1 Wr's in this draft like OBJ, Green and Julio? The experts say no. My gut tells me we're gonna find out though. Why does my gut tell me that? Most NFL receivers, even some of the great ones, don't do that well their first year or even two. a 2016 draftee has only played 2 years, meaning you can just now expect them, if they're really good, to start showing it. Not ever receiver can be as lucky as say, Cooks, who got to go to a team as a rookie with a sure-fire HOF quarterback who runs a high-powered passing attack.

Just because some first round receivers didn't turn into superstars in 1 or 2 years is no reason for teams to stop drafting receivers high...

Sort of liked Robinson when he was here, he never gave up on Romo when he was making it up on the run and kept working to get open. Butler was sort of like that only not used very much. Dez gives up too easily. I think he's lazy in his routes and get's frustrated easily. I still like Dez though. Not quite the athlete that he was but good enough. There is little agreement on Dez now. Three years ago, before the foot break and knee, there was. Damned time and injuries

Makes you long for the days of Drew Pearson, Tony Hill, Butch Johnson, Billy Joe Dupree, Doug Cosbie, Jay Saldi, Tony Dorsett, Ron Springs, Timmy Newsome. Man those early 80's teams were so deep at the skill positions. I also used to wonder if Jimmy Smith didn't have the fluke illness/surgery what that 90's WR core would of looked like. Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper, Jimmy Smith and Jay Novaceck. Oh BTW here comes Emmitt Smith right at you. Sigh...those years feel like a million years ago sometimes. Every time I hear the story of Jimmy Smith sitting on his couch after the Cowboys cut him with no teams calling....ugh what could have been. Of course him dealing with serious addiction issues in Jacksonville means it's probably ten times worse in Dallas back in the 90's.
