Wild Speculation: Tank Going Rogue

Tyrone Crawford and Dorance Armstrong were on the cowboys hour last night. Crawford is still going to meetings and is beginning some training of some sort tomorrow even though he is on crutches.

Anyway, they both spoke glowingly about marinelli and how the players needed to trust doing what the system asks...(paraphrasing). He mentioned how when they come hitting and tackling early it sets a tone and the team plays off the energy.

He also talked a little bit about how they were able to slow down the rams running game after getting beat in the playoffs, crawford said what happened in the playoffs was they beat them with tempo and Dallas could never get a feel for the pace of what they were doing and were repeatedly caught in bad spots when the ball was snapped. He said they made sure to not let that happen sunday and the guys came through. He mentioned how important a healthy antwan woods was sunday.

Great tin foil hat thread! :lmao2:Anything to take credit away from a well coached win.

What about the rest of the season? Thought so. 1 win does not great coaching make. We'll see how it turns out.

Interestingly enough they started talking about it again this morning on 105.3 The Fan and once again I only caught the last part of it but they said that some analyst reviewed the tape and the DL was playing different gap assignments and it totally threw off the Rams and McVay had no answer. They said we were doing something totally different from what we typically do and fail at.. Something about what we did to the Giants earlier in the season....

You know, I have no idea what happened, but this D was different. It appeared to be monumentally different than what we've been doing. I don't know why or how or who caused it, but something was changed.

Is it possible players talked amongst themselves and decided "No more of this finesse crapp, we're going to go and get them." I guess.

I'm not surprised at all to hear that.

I've never liked this D scheme. It works against some teams, but it terrible against others.

its just talk, nothing more. I am sure our players are more respectful and would not listen to me and say "guys, lets risk our contracts, or chance fines by NOT listening to the coaches"

It’s also handicapped around Antwans health and if he’s tired or not...

Makes sense to me, maybe just in some ways at various times in game.
It is sad they would have to revolt just to play smarter defense.
