No doubts about it, these guys are so interested it getting a juicy story they don't wait until they get more facts, it is always and undisclosed source.

Ok, while I am a life-long serious, read this site daily, Cowboy fan, I'll admit I do not read every article and hang on every published word about the Cowboys. So maybe I missed all the media reported certainty that Parcells was going to retire.

I know there was speculation, just like there was last year, and likely will be every year simply because of Parcells history and admitted love/hate relationship with coaching.

So I guess I just don't see what the media should be hanging their head about.

Do I think it was always a certainty that Parcells would return? No. Geez, he's plenty old and plenty indecisive about how long he'll coach. Its entirely plausible to believe he'd retire this year or wander off to a new situation be it Detroit, NY or whatever. Its entirely believable that he might actually fuel the speculations by showing some interest, or not declare he is 100% certain about returning.

I honestly don't get some posters expectations. It mystifies me.

Should we also expect any of the posters here who speculated or predicted about Parcells departure to fess up as well? Of course not because I'm sure its someone else's fault.
