Yep.
Maybe figuring yardage tossing footballs to his kids-- but that's going to be about it.

Have you seen the Bills play recently, looked at their trades, or looked at their draft picks? The organization is inept. By watching Losman, do you really believe that he would have beaten Pittsburgh? The team is inept. If they weren't playing in such a pathetic division, their record would be even worse than it is now. The team continues to play Losman even though he is one of the worst starting QB's in the league.MichaelWinicki;1136251 said:WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
The Bills KNEW they were likely going to go backwards by starting Losman. They weren't inept or delusional. They had their fill of Bledsoe and watched him completely botch their opportunity to go to the playoffs in 2004 by coming up completely small vs. a Pittsburgh team that was playing 2nd and 3rd stringers.
Even today the Bills brain trust would not take Bledsoe back.
Same with Manning. You already know it. Just like you say.joseephuss;1136257 said:IF is a word I hear a lot with Bledsoe when the Hall of Fame is brought up. If he wins a Superbowl. If he gets to 50,000 yards.
When Fouts was winding up his career, people knew he was a Hall of Famer. It was a given. Same with Marino. Same with Elway. Same with Favre today. It was a formality that they have to retire and wait 5 years to get in. With Bledsoe one has to argue the point and pull out different stats and hope he can put in a few more seasons. That tells me he is not Hall of Fame material. If he was of that caliber, it would be clear at this point in his career.

Are you writing that the Bills are not inept? You can make all of the excuses you want for the organization, but they are only marginally better than Detroit. Bledsoe stinks, but he's a lot better than anybody else they have up there at QB.MichaelWinicki;1136270 said:And I'm telling you that you have no understanding of the situation. You really don't.
They got rid of Bledsoe because they had it up to here (holding my hand up to my neck) with his nonsense. There was no way he was going to remain as the starter for that team-- none.
Kelly Holcomb at this point is a better QB than Bledsoe.
Get over it.

I don't fault a team either, but I think the QB has to show something in order to earn a starting spot. Both Brady and Romo were practicing well when they replaced Bledsoe; Losman was not. I'm only making the point that the Bills are inept. I'm not sticking up for Bledsoe and do not think he should make the hall. I just don't put much stock in a decision made by an organization that has a history of continuously making poor decisions. What has this organization done right recently?joseephuss;1136275 said:What does rookie at the time being able to beat Pittsburgh have to do with Drew playing a very bad in that game have to do with the Bills decision? The Bills were not thinkg they should have played Losman that game. They made a decision to work for the future. Sometimes that works for teams and sometimes it doesn't. Losman may not be the chosen one, but they didn't think Drew would be either. Looks they were right on half of that decision.
I don't fault any team that goes with a young QB who could go on to be very good over an aging vet on the downside of their career. The Giants did it a couple of years ago and now the Cardinals and Titans are doing it. I am glad Dallas is doing it. Romo may not work out, but it was clear that Bledsoe wasn't either. It was clear to me before Drew ever signed with Dallas.

OK. I will retract one of my points. I have to agree that Holcomb is better than Bledsoe right now. My next question would be: Why isn't he starting? The Bills remind me of our 5-11 teams when we kept giving Carter and Hutchinson multiple chances to show how bad they stunk.MichaelWinicki;1136282 said:About the QB situation?
Nope.
They knew exactly what they were doing. Bledsoe was toast and they knew it. They had enough of his bs adlibbing and giving up the negative play, time after time after time.
And yeah, Holcomb is better than Bledsoe at this point.
I have no Bledsoe love. I'm glad he's not starting. I just don't put much stock in what happened to him in Buffalo. The team is awful and still cannot make good decisions about their team. Can anyone give me a legitimate argument that Losman is better than either Bledsoe or Holcomb?MichaelWinicki;1136291 said:Exactly.
Some of these folks are out of their minds with Bledsoe love. Absolutely insane with it. It's like cupid whipped up a bunch of 'Bledsoe' arrows and just dotted the damn things all over the western hemisphere.

MichaelWinicki;1136307 said:But were you watching the Bills' practices over the course of the 2004 season to see where Losman was at? The Bills brain trust had that opportunity-- you didn't.
The were so disgusted with his play after the Pittsburgh game that he was a goner.
And did it ever occur to you that in 2004 the Bills defense and special teams contributed 10 freaking TD's to the offensive total? 10 TD's!!!! Bledsoe had the "sterling" QB rating of what for the '04 season? like what 75? For a 9 and 7 team? Obviously the QB wasn't a big deal was he? Unless you think a QB rating in the 70's makes you a friggin QB God...
AtlCB;1136317 said:What about the Bills other decisions? Draft picks, trades, other personnel decisions, etc.? My point is that the organization has made so many poor decisions, they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. Bledsoe doesn't either, so the situation is a wash for me. I don't put stock either way in that one.
