With how comfortable Dak seems to be with Butler, it won't surprise me at all if he's taking snaps from Hurns and Williams. Right now, Beasley and Deonte Thompson are the top targets in the pass game.

That was what he said last Spring, but he thought he would be employed then. In any case, the Cowboys will use and are using a WR by committee approach, so regardless of who starts multiple receivers will see action.

They've said they are going to be a receiver by committee going forward so my guess is there are no starters. Who lines up first is likely more about the gameplan than who is the better receiver in the room. But that's just me guessing.

Twill has outperformed Hurns with significantly less snaps. Not saying i'd give Twill many more snaps but hurns can ride the bench so butler can do his thing.

It comes down to targets, catches and yardage regardless of snap count. Neither Hurns or Williams or any other receiver can catch passes when they aren't targeted. In the end it is a microscopic sample size for either, and Williams has a little better catch % and Hurns has a better yardage per catch, and neither have made any notable contribution.

Ha. My point is that he should be coming back into this situation a lot more humble than when he left it 7 months ago or whatever. If he can help us, great. I think it’s worth a shot but my expectations are pretty low that he’ll be a difference maker.

Hurns & Williams = bust through two games.

Pretty shocking that Thompson has become the #1 go-to receiver.

I personally don't think Linehan knows what to do with all these receivers but I hope they figure it out.
