I understand Jerry wanting to see how his young WR's perform before signing a Vet WR but given that other teams will suffer WR injuries, the cupboard may be bare if they wait too long.
The Cowboys will probably be looking at WR's released at the end of camp but that will give them no time to work on chemistry with Dak or pick up the playbook in a timely fashion.

This is just Jerry. Again. Would rather prove how smart he is about football than bring in someone and show he was wrong. His ego is this teams biggest weakness

No. Wide receiver is one of the most overrated positions on a football team.
If you have a receiver who can run good routes and a quarterback who can anticipate where the throw needs to go and the courage to pull the trigger, you don't need a dynamic receiving corps. What do you think Tom Brady's and Russell Wilson's been doing all these years?
We've invested in T.O., Dez, Amari and Cee Dee, and what has it gotten us so far? NOTHING!
If your quarterback is making $40 plus million a year, he needs to hit guys where they should be when he releases the ball.
You shouldn't need a field loaded with elite receivers.
Dak said he's in the best shape of his life. Zeke says he feels 100 percent better. Tony Pollard is supposed to be integrated more into the offense.
Our receiving corps is fine. We (the coaches) need to coach them up in route running, and Dak needs to get them the ball.
Bringing in a receiver off the streets who is there for a reason, isn't going to help this team much.
Roll with what we've got.

Probably ....... But only because they have built this offence so that it needs multiple stars at each position to be successful

Take a look at the beginning of the early season of 2019 (the year we traded for Coop) and you have your answer.

I don't get their mindset at all.

I'm sitting here thinking, "They must not have learned their lesson from going into 2018 with what they had." The year they sent a first-round pick to the Raiders for Amari, only to have him for 3.5 years before they jettisoned him for A FIFTH ROUND PICK.

I love this team and I always will but a third of the time I don't understand *** they're thinking.

Sign Will Fuller or Emmanuele Sanders
TO-DAY!

Likely they do not want to sign a WR until week 2, so their contract is not guaranteed. This FO will be fine with facing the Bucs with Cee Dee and an unproven group of receivers that are cheap.

Hope they are lucky rolling the dice.

I keep dreaming of the player the Cowboys will get with that 5th round pick they got for Cooper.
He's gonna be awesome!!!

Remember the year , is it 2019 ? I Am getting old .. lol, when we went with Allen hurns, etc . As WRs ( of course this year is not as bad as that ) but couple of games into the season spent a 1st round pick for Amari .

I dont want this season be as bad, I still have hope one of the young ones , Tolbert , Vasher, Fehoko , Houston will step up and provide some sparks but don’t know at this point , may be preseason will clarify, But some genius has decided Dak wont play the pre season except 3rd game. Go figure !!!!

The list of hesitations by the management of this team, and reluctance to add significant pieces in free agency is one of the major causes for the drought the Dallas Cowboys are experiencing over the last two decades and a half.

When the decision maker is more intent to prove he is a real football guy over choosing the right people to guide the team to success, the muddled decisions and mistakes mount up to ruin what was a heralded history of this team.
