We are being led by two rookies who are used to 12 game seasons. The NFL season is a long haul not to mention postseason if we get there. Does anybody think Dak and Zeke might run out of gas? I know they're young and healthy and hungry, but it's something to think about.

A QB tiring out? First time I ever heard this.

You do realize Ben R went 15-1 in his rookie season and Russell Wilson went to the NFC divisional round.

Also, Zeke played at Ohio St and won a national title. 12 game regular season. Conference championship game. 2 game playoff. That's 15 games and he was a bell cow there. He will be fine.

Unfortunately I do think they will wear down.

We saw it with Demarco in 2014. These guys have never had an NFL offseason to get in tip top shape and they are asked to go play 16 games.

This is part of the reason I think the BYE week is so huge for our team.

There was a series or 2 that I thought Zeke was slowing down toward the end of the game.

The same could be said of any rookies playing pivotal roles for their team. They're pro's now.

Dak shouldnt but ive been concerned about elliott since before the season even started. He has exceeded all expectations so far though so we shall see.

They can get their tanks refilled during the off days when they aren't playing.

Concern regarding Zeke is legitimate because we're talking about a RB's workload over a longer 16 game season + a hopefully deep playoff run (2-3 extra games) compared to 13 game season in the college ranks.

That's why I don't get all the posts that come up complaining about Alfred Morris getting too many carries. He serves to help preserve Elliott for the postseason.

Dak and Zeke are actually LEADING the Cowboys in my opinion. Of course we have many veterans to guide them, but a lot is on their shoulders, more so than any other rookies. So far so good and I hope it continues for the long haul.

I don't think there is complaint about Morris playing. The complaint is finding a better player for RB2. Obviously EE is the superior player but there is a major drop in production the last few games when AM was filling in.

AM and DMC should compete for RB2 IMO. We have to make a decision sooner rather than later regarding McFadden so we should see what he's got and if he can push for RB2.

Zeke has only had one game with 30 carries. And only two games with more then 23 carries.

I think they're limiting him pretty well and keeping him fresh for the stretch run.

This is exactly why we drafted him.

I wasn't old enough to be a follower of the Cowboys in the early 90s, but did fans complain or worry about Emmitt being over-worked also?

We certaunly have to be mindful of the number of carries Zeke gets, I do like the fact that we take him out for a period.

Would like to see McFadden in there in place of Morris (except on Thanksgiving Day against the Skins). Just sayin

Possibly this getting tired out stuff is a bit overblown now. These are athletes that train year round pretty much. It's not like 30 years ago, or even 20.
Do the feel tired legs, fatigued some, yes, but not like as we all may think. It's something they can work through with training and the trainers and staff.

I am not really concerned with it.
Colleges start in the spring and train throughout summer it seems, and go for 12 to 13 weeks, then 3 to 4 weeks before a bowl game.

we are going to find out soon. This 3 game stretch in 11 days against good teams is tough. Mentally draining and physically demanding.

I don't see dak tiring out but I have to imagine at some point zeke gets a little more rest. Hopefully we can have a blowout against baltimore and give him some snaps off.
