Will Dak and Zeke Tire Out?

Zeke's a lot younger than Murray and takes less contact. He'll be fine.
to boot, I believe Zeke has 25% less carries than Demarco did the same point of the season in 2014. Younger, less of a workload and Zeke has a much better stable of RBs to step in to give him a breather

we are going to find out soon. This 3 game stretch in 11 days against good teams is tough. Mentally draining and physically demanding.

I don't see dak tiring out but I have to imagine at some point zeke gets a little more rest. Hopefully we can have a blowout against baltimore and give him some snaps off.

Agreed
Need to rest Zeke a little more IMO

The last I checked, Zeke is 21. Did you guys hear what I just said? He's only 21. At 21, you don't get sick, you don't get tired, you don't lazy, you are full of life and energy, and Dak is only 23. I still can't believe that out of 32 teams, Dak and Zeke actually fell right into our laps on rookie contracts for 4 years. Jerry must be on his knees every day thanking his God.

Unfortunately I do think they will wear down.

We saw it with Demarco in 2014. These guys have never had an NFL offseason to get in tip top shape and they are asked to go play 16 games.

This is part of the reason I think the BYE week is so huge for our team.

There was a series or 2 that I thought Zeke was slowing down toward the end of the game.
Ummmmmm

They'll be fine.

But in blowout wins, I'd prefer we see more Morris and Dunbar.

Maybe if we're smart we can maximize Zeke and also keep him longer than just a few years.

Possibly this getting tired out stuff is a bit overblown now. These are athletes that train year round pretty much. It's not like 30 years ago, or even 20.
Do the feel tired legs, fatigued some, yes, but not like as we all may think. It's something they can work through with training and the trainers and staff.

I am not really concerned with it.
Colleges start in the spring and train throughout summer it seems, and go for 12 to 13 weeks, then 3 to 4 weeks before a bowl game.
I don't think it is overblown. You hear about it from sophomores every year... How tiring their first year was. It is why we are right to give Morris work.

And please review the college season you just described. It pales I'm comparison to the pro game. And when they are "training" in the summer the amount of work they are able to do is mandates by the NCAA. It is nowhere near the same.

Zeke has only had one game with 30 carries. And only two games with more then 23 carries.

I think they're limiting him pretty well and keeping him fresh for the stretch run.

This is exactly why we drafted him.

I wasn't old enough to be a follower of the Cowboys in the early 90s, but did fans complain or worry about Emmitt being over-worked also?
Emmitt wasn't used that much early on.

We are being led by two rookies who are used to 12 game seasons. The NFL season is a long haul not to mention postseason if we get there. Does anybody think Dak and Zeke might run out of gas? I know they're young and healthy and hungry, but it's something to think about.
Not from playing football...maybe from too many women...

Do/Did fans of other teams ask if they're worried that Winston, Mariotta, Luck, Eli, Wentz, Stafford, Ryan, Tannehill, Wilson, Roethlisberger, Cam, Dalton, Bortles, et. al, would wear out?

Dak is not a fragile man. And he's young. Why would we be worried that he's going to be worn out?

As for Zeke, the same question could be asked. Are fans worried that Gurley might wear out? Adrian Peterson his first year?

I wouldn't worry about it. They're young, and their bodies are conditioned to play football. And they want to play all the time.

The solution, obviously, is to wrap up the #1 seed soon so they can get week 16/17 off and a bye week. :)

I remember the 90s Cowboys well and yes fans did complain about Emmitt getting way too many carries as some are saying for Zeke right now. The difference however is that Emmitt didn't have quality backup RBs spelling him like Zeke have in Morris and that is what is helping Zeke get less wear and tear as the season carries on.

Yes I know it does not compare...but they do train year round....that counts for something....it is not like they are sitting on their couch eating chips and dip....

I'm not too concerned about Dak getting tired because he's pretty selective about when he runs (unlike say RG3) but it is something to think about with Zeke. The good news is they are both so young which is a wonderful thing!

I'm kind of concerned about Zeke. Dickerson and Ladainian Tomlinson said their bodies wore down in the last quarter of the season, and it took them a long time to recover from games. Not sure if they played the preseason before their rookie start. We hid Zeke a few weeks.
