Will Dez ever be elite again?

I say we cut him now.
Heck no! Trade him to some idiot team that still thinks he's elite for 2 firsts. Dez has never been blazing fast and his injuries have slowed him down. He used to go up and outjump / outmuscle defenders for the ball. Now he spends all his time complaining. For all those that think he is still elite... what catch has he made this year that every other receiver in the league couldn't make??? Hmmm??

Even if Dez doesn't have a good game he still effects the defense.

At this point, I'm not sure what Dez brings to this team other than drawing double coverage. While that helps, Dez needs to produce far more than that.

The team is 7-1, and just won by 25 points despite Dez not doing much in it. I really don't care if he's "elite" as long as the team is winning.

I love how every time someone asks this they get villified.

It's not an unreasonable question. Dez is nowhere near elite right now. I'm tired of hearing the excuses.

Nobody is saying he sucks or that he should be cut, or that he doesn't still contribute. But he's not earning the $70 million contract.

Where's everyone who was chanting Dez was back after last weeks game? As usually he follows up a solid performance with a bad one. You would have thought against Cleveland he would have a big game. He had some drops and after not running a route hard Garrett got onto him. His days as an "elite" receiver appear to be over.

Take own advice before starting thread.

This.

With Dak at QB, Dez will not put up the same numbers we would expect if Romo was starting.

Like it or not, Dak is a bus driver QB and will make different WRs look good from week to week. Dez will have his days but his numbers will not look as great every week.

He's out there.
