Will failed trade light a fire?

More like business as usual. Back to camp carrot cake until Jerry passive aggressively threatens JG's job again.

I fail to see the connection between less than successful 2nd round draft picks and not drastically overpaying in a trade.

Point being we haven't done very well in round 2. So ,really, of what value are those picks in relation to a 24 year old all-pro safety? OR You could also look at this in regard to draft value. Adams was the #4 overall pick which is assigned a value of 1800 points. Dallas is slotted to pick #20 and #52 in 2020 , at the moment. Those slots have draft values of 850 & 380 points, respectively. So, even if our 2nd round pick in 2021 is at the top of round 2 which has draft value of 580 points, its an even swap. The Jets basically just wanted something in the ballpark of their draft value returned.

Do you mean the first we spent on Cooper?
U missed the “I.e.,” statement in parens my friend? Or do I need to elaborate on it?

note - the quotation marks on “first” might have also offered a clue...

If Jerry wants a safety he should wait until the 2020 draft because he has Coop, Dak & Byron to sign

o_O
Agree 100%.

Don't know why erod responded to your post like you said Byron was better than Jamal or something. That was kind of weird. But Dallas could draft CB Bryce Hall in the first and move him to strong safety.

This is getting silly. We keep ignoring positions, and then giving up valuable picks for them.
