Will Grier to Cincy

He was not coming back here behind Rush AND a QB the team just gave up a 4th round pick to acquire. At least in Cincy, he has a chance to get on the field if there is an injury to the starter.

Imagine thinking a thrid-string QB is going to beat out the second-string, now "veteran" QB, who went 4-1 for that spot against first-stringers just last year and is overall 5-1 with the team. If Rush actually had an arm, he'd be starting somewhere else as defenses would have to think about him stretching the field. But when you plug in a back-up, you tend to go conservative anyways, especially when you have a defense like this team does now.

Grier is always going to be a guy fighting for the back up spot. The Cowboys already have their back up plus a better prospect than Grier.

Burrow has only missed 6 games ( none the 2 years ) in 3 years. I would have signed with the Cowboy's PS. Hell, he would have a way better chance at playing. If Dak goes out for a few games, he is likely promoted to backup Cooper over Lance.
Burrow was injured in training camp and it has yet to be confirmed if he’ll be ready for the opener.

He chose the Bengals practice squad over coming back to Dallas. Sorry Big Mike. Good for him.
Will Grier has done nothing in his career. He had a good preseason game and people think things are going to change because of it. They most likely will not. Plenty of practice squad QBs have had a good preseason game and it almost always means nothing. He will continue to be a fringe roster guy that you really do not want to have to put on the field.

The Cowboys slapped him in the face when they dumped him for Lance and now he's got a chance to show his wear on another team.
