LOL. If you think that's in the realm of possibility, you need have your Cowboy card revoked. Zeke isn't about to cause waves like that for the Jones family. This isn't Emmitt's Cowboys. Pull your head out of your behind and understand this isn't the 90's anymore. We have him under contract for two more seasons so the Cowboys aren't about to offer him a raise this season. He'll be lucky to get through the season not having to give up some money due to league fines or suspension.

Lawrence is making more than 19 mil by himself. You are miss reading the info. Over the Cap is a website we all visit to get cap data. Make sure the info you're looking at is for 2019, then take the time to understand the data.

Dallas has thirty something free agents after the 2019 season. So if we are over the cap already then we're in deep do-do.

It's true that right now only the top 51 salaries count on the cap, since those other salaries are not guaranteed only a few small signing bonuses from those camp Players cut will have any effect on the cap, once roster cuts have happened and the roster is set, cap space will still be fine.

The team has plenty of money to pay Dak with, if it chooses to do so.

The Rams knew Todd would have some arthritic problems because of his ACL surgery before they inked his contract. I wonder if this causes Zeke's agent to expect even more money for Zeke when they start their negotiations. And if they do ask for more than Gurley's $15m ($45m guaranteed), will that get SJ thinking more along the Franchise Tag route.

Cooper has all the leverage. If Jerry doesn't get an extension on Cooper, he'll look like an idiot for spending a first for a year and a half rental. Unlike Dak, Cooper is already slated for a big chunk of change this year. He should feel no fire to get a deal done.

Yep. So you pay Cooper 18+ per year. Then you got Dak at 30 million. Zeke wants a deal too and he's more important than those guys.......thats at least todd gurley money at 14+ per year. So you got 3 guys asking for 1/3 of your cap off the top.............and that is before you pay Tyron, Zach, DLAW and everybody else. Its not doable to keep all 3 and have any depth on this roster.

I wanted to get away from talking about Dak's paycheck. Love him & I'm sure they'll work it out. But...

Zeke is the one DC's focus on the most. They can't ignore our passing game, but if they can't slow Zeke down some they're going to lose the game.

I'm curios how much that's worth to the team. There has to be a certain ceiling to what they're willing to pay. I think it's a lot more than we typically expect for a RB, but I don't know at what point they'll decide to go in another direction.
