same thing when people say "they exposed the eagles defense in their game!" or we did some good things against the eagles in game 1, that's fine, but what does that have to do with THIS GAME!!!??What do numbers from 1981 have to do with anything? Numerology?
I wish it wasn't real but we've seen this movie before and it always ends the same wayamen, thanks for always keeping it real
There was a lot of history before 1981 between these two teams. We owned the 49ers in the 70s, defeating them in two NFC Championships and one Divisional Playoff game. They were 0 and 3 against us in the playoffs, and would have been 0 and 4 if Eric Wright hadn't made a game-saving tackle on Drew Pearson in the final minutes. Pearson was gone for a game-winning TD if it hadn't been for Wright's horse-collar tackle (legal at the time) of Pearson.1981 Week 6

I agree with this. If we face SF in the playoffs, we're clearly the underdog. We would have to win via an upset in their park. Not impossible, but definitely a tall order.I'm hoping Dallas avoids San Fran as long as possible in the playoffs and hope someone upsets them prior to a Dallas rematch.....I just think the Niners are the best overall team in the NFC with Dallas, Detroit and Philly a tier behind...
yupppp so why get excited, we can get excited when the narrative changesI wish it wasn't real but we've seen this movie before and it always ends the same way
if (IF=Interceptions and Foolish decisions!)I refuse to believe we cant compete with them. If Dak played like hes been playing these last few weeks in that playoff game, we wouldve won
Absolutely nothing, it's just that the season in 1981 and this season is shaping up the same. What do numbers from 1981 have to do with anything? Numerology?

In both games were in SF in 1981 and possibly in 2023.I agree with this. If we face SF in the playoffs, we're clearly the underdog. We would have to win via an upset in their park. Not impossible, but definitely a tall order.

I like how you skip right over 92,93. Your selection of history is a bit one sided in general.1981 Week 6

I was referring to the 1981 season because that was the year Cowboys/49ers played twice like this year possibly. Both games will possibly be play in SF and the scores of the first games were blowout wins by SF.1992
