It's very doubtful.

The only way to tell is if he hires one single coach before he hires a head coach then it will be obvious the answer is no and he has no intention of hiring a coach and give give that much power.

That will drastically narrow down those wishing to come here.

....patterns are everything in life. its been over 20 years of Jerry's philosophy of I bought the shoes, I wear them, I shine them as I wish and they are totally mine. My guess, he wont budge to far from his Toy.

So yeah, I think the real coaches (winning coaches) will stay away. And smurfs made of smoke n mirrors will take the bait.

Nope. He knows he isn’t very good at this, he doesn’t care. He’s like that rich kid that had all the cool toys but wouldn’t let anybody play with them, or something like that

I've noticed something............those that claim to be smart and geniuses sure make stupid decisions.

Just out of curiosity, what does Jerry have to change that will make a difference on the field?

Empower a coach how? Doesn't the coach make all the decisions on the field?

...its a known bias. Confirmation bias? Or Seeing through Colored Lens bias. He only gets viable source from family members ..lol. That's where he goes wrong.

I luve that he won us 3 SB's. Though, I'd wish he'd never bought the team.

He won't change. He wasn't interested in winning with Jimmy making the decisions and getting the credit. Jerry has always wanted to be the prime decision maker, voice of the franchise and in the spotlight.

It really is unbelievable how he'd rather be in control and lose than win with someone else in power.

Empower a coach how? :muttley:

How about letting the coach hire his assistants? How about letting the coach make roster decisions without having to run them through Jerry? How about hiring a guy, letting him run the show, then fire him if he fails?

That's how it works most places. It doesn't work that way in Dallas. How many coaches does Jerry have to go through until we all agree he is the problem?

Success totally ruined Jerry's brain.

Hire a full time general manager that has experience evaluating NFL personnel, among other things. Don't you want your favorite team run by someone dedicated to football full time?

I could have understood him getting a big ego after being the owner who hired super bowl winning coaches but after 5-10-15-20-25 years of sucking you cant convince me this senile moron actually wants to win. It's like letting a 5 year old play a video game, they know the controls, but have no idea what they're doing and don't have the mental capacity to realize they suck. they are just having fun with it

I did not know that he didn't let the coach hire his assistants. But what do you mean by roster decisions? You mean acquiring players?

Why would he? It's been so successful.
Yes it has. Richest franchise in the world. He now makes more on his real estate empire (including the stadium - which is far more than just Cowboy games) so the Boy are now a nice toy for him to keep shining and hope the genie comes out.
