This is for all the Romo haters. Matt Ryan has lost his second playoff game. Will he nows get a reputation similar to what we hear from the Romo haters that he can't win the big game. Romo is the better quarterback, but that's my opinion. There are two or three great quarterbacks in the league but Romo is among those on the second level. Peyton Manning has won one Super Bowl and before that the knock against him was he can't win the big game. I hear people say Romo will never win a Super Bowl, but in today's NFL with a few changes the Cowboys could be a threat next year. They don't have a major rebuilding project just look at the Bears.

On top of that, the guy has only had one good season. This one.

I hope Romo wins a Super Bowl. I just don't understand when I hear people say Romo will never win, but the name quarterbacks like Ryan and Flaco that they claim will win a Super Bowl. Are you telling me the Ravens don't wish they had Romo yesterday instead of the guy they still aren't sure about.

Ryan is not in Romo's league.

Average Season Rank
Passer Rating, Yards per Attempt
Romo: 7th, 3rd
Ryan: 14th, 17th

I like Tony, but I' ve never seen so many threads needed to defend a really good QB, come on people, at least a couple times a week?

Give it some thought.

I've never seen so much negative crap about a great QB. Where there is unfounded negative BS there will be an abundance of defense.

maybe you should wait till Ryan's been in the league 8 years then see what people are saying.

The perception of Romo (correct or incorrect) is that he has a tendency to throw games away with stupid mistakes.

Until he wins a championship (right or wrong) this perception will never go away. Whining about it on a message board will change nothing. That's just the reality.

Sad, no? They can't stand the thought of other QBs being praised. Fox Sports compliments Rodgers and the usual suspects go berserk with jealousy and snide remarks, as if one QB has anything to do with the other. Pity them.

And Romo has only played four full seasons.

Please.

Why is always the same Cowboys fans making snide comments on some comments by fans of the same team requesting some objectivity when it comes to the Cowboys' players?

It's a team game.

Ryan wasn't playing defense yesterday either.

Isn't Ryan in his 3rd or 4th year as QB? Romo is in his 30s and has been starting for quite awhile now, they really shouldn't be viewed the same.

I was big Matt Ryan fan..but after what I am seeing....yes he goes into same category as Romo now. They are not top echelon QB until they start playing bigger in playoffs. The beauty of watching playoff games...you really get to seeing who has fortitude and who doesnt....the Greenbay/Atlanta and Steelers/Raven showed you it in dramatic fashion.

IIRC this was Ryan's second season.

I could be wrong, though. Maybe 3rd?

Perception also says Ryan was good enough to make the Pro Bowl and Rodgers was not.

and now when get the ******** argument that Romo has only played for four full seasons like it's Ryan's fault Romo was on the bench behind Quincy Carter. yeah, real objective

Why shouldn't he? I think he deserves a worse reputation...along with the head coach.

This is two playoff appearances, two meltdowns....that offense cannot make a big play.

It is what it is.

That's why I think it's pointless for people to get up in arms over these stupid things.

One thing matters. Championships. Win one and it's all moot.
