The problem with this question is that our backup is Cooper Rush who is just not a starting caliber NFL QB. You don't pull Dak for him even if Dak is playing poorly and as you bring up, throwing interceptions. I mean people are complaining about Dak's interceptions and Daks TD-Int ratio last year in his worst year ever was 23-15. Rush's in what was the best streak of games in his career was 5-3. So, I don't think Dak could play poorly enough for me to sit him for Rush.First, I'm hoping Dak bounces back from his interception troubles and plays great. I hope he plays so well that I say that I'm glad Jones paid him that big contract. I haven't said that yet. If he plays awesome and this team has a shot at the NFCC, then I'll shut up.
...
However, if he stinks up the place, if his interception problem ends up as bad or worse than last year, then McCarthy should pull him. Put in Cooper Rush. I know that would not make Dak happy, but this game isn't about his happiness. It's a meritocracy, and if some other player gives you a better chance to win, you need to go with that player.
...
Again, I'm not sitting here hoping that Dak stinks up the place. I want him to play well. I'm talking about ONLY if he plays really terrible.
Cooper Rush lead Dallas to a bottom third offense.
Dak lead Dallas to a top 5 offense.
There’s no chance of Rush starting a game over a healthy Dak.
No and there was no pick problem last year. Most of the picks were not even on Dak.First, I'm hoping Dak bounces back from his interception troubles and plays great. I hope he plays so well that I say that I'm glad Jones paid him that big contract. I haven't said that yet. If he plays awesome and this team has a shot at the NFCC, then I'll shut up.

Man, didn't realize it was almost a decade ago.Baker Mayfield would be a better can't that you're trying to get a picture as a starter who just flat out fell on his face but Prescott's already played at a higher level for seven years now so now I'm not worried about that I don't even remember what Matt Schaub did....

4-1 there mathematician. And saying no an actual fact is a good approach.Actually no, Cooper Rush led the team to 3-1 in a conservative offensive game plan, kind of like Dak did in 2016 with a dumbed down offense predicated on the OL and RG.
Copper Rush also threw close to 400 yards the year before against the Vikings and actually found Amari Cooper in the game, unlike Dak, when the game plan was the same.
He basically made every throw Dak did that game, though he clearly lacks the arm strength.
I agree with a previous poster: He should have been pulled at halftime of the 49er game. He was playing awful when all we needed was a bus driver. If Dak plays as bad as that in our first 5 games, he should be pulled. I'm not rooting for that to happen. I'm hoping he'll prove all his nay sayers wrong by playing great. It wasn't a single game last year where he should have pulled Prescott not one not a single game...
if we win no games because of dak's interceptions, I would never pull him.
I'd rather ridicule him. LOL

This isn't a troll post. I've posted here for decades, and have donated money to this site. No quarterback should be guaranteed a starting position. There's a point where a QB should get pulled if he plays bad enough. It may be tough to determine that point, but any coach is foolish to stick with a QB whom he can't win with. I would say if he stinks up the place in the first five games, costing us those games, it's time to get him out. Or do you think he should start no matter what? You can tell the trolls are getting anxious with games coming soon. They only have so long until they have to ask SAS for a new narrative
putting in cooper rush would signal we are throwing in the season. Rush wasn't exactly lighting it up and he was going south quickly. he really got lucky quickly against rams and it all fell apart against Eagles with his three interceptions.First, I'm hoping Dak bounces back from his interception troubles and plays great. I hope he plays so well that I say that I'm glad Jones paid him that big contract. I haven't said that yet. If he plays awesome and this team has a shot at the NFCC, then I'll shut up.

you know there is a ring of truth to this. I think in 2020 he decided to just crack his ankle for that reasonLook for him to get injured again as subconsciously he will make this a reality to "escape" what folks are seeing on the field.
It has worked for him in the past and I expect him to use it once again.
