the Eagles are due for positive regression as well after they had mountains of injuries last year, but the NFC East looks to be within our reach.

That’s all I had for what you typed, yes. You’re making fart noises over there. I’m not obligated to take those seriously.
If you ever want to address the topic like an adult, just let me know. I’ll be here. Or you can read what I have to say on the topic to other legitimate posters as it will probably come up naturally in the course of the thread.
Yeah, slink away once again when you're called out. Show those true colors - yellow. Once again, prove everything I've said right.
Yawn. You didn’t “call me out.” You made a string of dumb, unsupportable insults.
Should I do it again? So you can again pretend like it didn't happen and do nothing to back up your latest bluster?
You're nothing but noise. Toothless bluster with no bite. Nothing behind anything you have to say.
Credibility zero.
Do what you like, as long as you stay within the guidelines, I don’t care. Your posts are immaterial content-wise.
I'm fine within the guidelines. Make sure you don't abuse anything yourself and don't try the veiled threats with me.
Not a veiled threat in any way. You are perfectly within the guidelines here.
It was a direct reference to my literally not caring what you have to say here. The only exception being if you say something I have to moderate. Otherwise, I wouldn’t read your posts at all.
Don’t be so thin skinned. It doesn’t go well with your complete inability to make an interesting point.
So why was it mentioned? You betray yourself.
Clearly. That's why you come back here and responded at least 10- times in this thread. Because you 'don't care'. What color isn't the sky in your world?
Look in the mirror.
Your hero got kicked out of town, and he took your credibility with him.
I explained explicitly why it was mentioned. Even though it was obvious from the original context. Stop asking dumb questions
So if I'm within the guidelines, why does staying within the guidelines need to be mentioned? Once again you're exposed.
They didn't have the coaching talent. They certainly had the player talent. And everyone that covered the NFL knew it, or do you conveniently forget that anytime anyone talked about the Cowboys they said that? What they never said, and rightfully so, was that the Cowboys ever got great coaching under the Garrett regime, because they didn't.
Yeah, it's obvious what you "call it", and then there's me and everyone else seeing it fur the excuses that it is. Nobody ever said "Garrett brought zero", that's yiu inventing imaginary monsters to conquer Don Quixote.
All evidence to the contrary. But nine so blind as will not see. Another 8-8 failure during the best opportunity the franchise has ever had, and you and a few holdouts in the corner refuse to call it for what it is.
McCarthy has a Super Bowl, and 9 out of 13 years in the playoffs. If yiu can't see the !better' there, time to get your eyes checked. The problem lies with you.
I'll be proven 'correct' yet again. Just like I was with Jason Garrett. McCarthy will have this team contending in short order. In that "3 years" you quoted or less.
And then you, like those few others, might finally get it.
How much better though? Assume for now we’ve got roughly the same quality of roster, losing guys like Jones and M Collins but with another draft and LVE and Crawford back and contributing. How much better should we really expect to be now that the coaching problem has been fixed? One more playoff win? Two? What’s the actual lift? These 8-8 predictions don’t factor in any improvement whatsoever. That doesn’t seem right given how shot out of a cannon everybody was to upgrade HC. 8-8 is Garrett Territory, right?
Honestly, though, Dooms...what are we waiting for to talk about? I agree with you about your expectations, because that’s where I expect us to fall as well, but if we’ve upgraded the staff, isn’t it reasonable to expect better results?
Of course, we all know there are a ton of factors that influence the outcomes of seasons, and not all of them are under a HC’s control. I’ve made that same argument many times. But as far as expectations go....if the issue was the coaching, HC and DC both, supposedly, and we got major upgrades in both roles....why do expectations start right at the bottom of the same hill we couldn’t get over when we fired the last guy? I don’t understand the thought process.
You believe that the difference is great coaching vs mediocre coaching (and somehow this behemoth of a talented roster goes out and proves its mettle). There is no way to actually prove (no matter what opinionated evidence you submit) that Garrett was the team's major detractor. I will enjoy you thinking you won anything if the Cowboys succeed in making the NFC championship or SB in the next few years with McCarthy.
I'm a Cowboys fan, and cannot think of anything better happening for the team we both support.
I think and thought last year as many who cover the NFL that the Cowboys have the talent to win. It really falls to the HC and his staff to get players to play up to their abilities. It is not just X's and O's it is knowing how to push a player or even a team and guild them in a direction where you get the most out of them. I think Cowboys still have the core talent and expect to see some other players brought in to add to this group. Unlike some I never hated Garrett and I think he did some good but in the end it falls to the HC to know when and how to push a team to get the most out of them.
But then why aren’t the expectations something more like finally getting to a championship game? Those were my expectations going into last season at least. I thought we had a team capable of competing for a Superbowl. It’s interesting to see that same team, under now a Superbowl-winning coach of the caliber everybody has been saying we’ve needed all this time to get over the hump, and here everybody is hedging their bets and “expecting” the same level of performance we’ve seen from the Cowboys since 2014. Where’s the expectation for lift? We just fixed the one thing that’s been holding our Superbowl roster back.
Man some of you guys are really fired up in here. LOL
All else equal and assuming the same exact roster and schedule I would expect McCarthy to have won 10 games instead of Garrett's 8-8.
However, "all else" is not going to be equal. Garrett has had 10 years to install his "process", his coaches, his players, and his way of doing things.
McCarthy hasn't even had 1 full off season yet, no draft, no FA period, and he's never coached a single Cowboys game. He's had no time yet to install his new system, and at this point nobody knows what our roster will look like, so like I said, "all else" is not equal.
With all that to consider, I don't know how long it will take to get all Mac's ducks in a row, so it's impossible to make serious predictions.
But.....when it's all said and done and Mac's system is fully settled in, I totally expect to see Mac seriously outperform Jason Garrett as HC of the Cowboys.
For some they just do not like going out on the limb with high expectations. It seems to be their emotional safety net. I can't say 100% positive that McCarthy will come in and get this team playing to the level they are capable of but I do think he is a coach with skins on the wall who has helped lead teams to championship games and I think if he can get this team believing in him and what he wants from them that he very well could get these players playing to a high consistent level. On the flip side maybe he can't but as a fan there is a certain benefit of the doubt I will give to my team
