blue--- i get your viewpoint...but i believe its natural for fans who really follow their teams to speculate what is good and maybe not so good with the team...thats why we have fanzone
true but we can debate that once we get into a larger part of the season or a few years into the MM era when we have some data points to speculate hat working or not and why..dude hasn't even unpacked his luggage,,jeez

Everything I have read was that in GB McCarthy not only didn’t get to pick the players.... but he was left answering for the mistakes of the GM and ownership.

I think he’s gonna actually be happy Jerry will take some of the heat off of him at times

Let's just say McCarthy's not afraid to throw his weight around.

I feel good about it.
already not funny but since you had to go there, as long as jerry doesnt try and take MM hot dog away he will be fine, if not might lose some fingers..lol

True I do think about it this way,

MM is the ONLY coach with true skins on his wall in the current pool that possibly could have came here that Jerry will trust enough to give him some room to work..until 3 years from now and its not where it was expected..

Theres not one college coach or unproven assistant nor a Lewis or Rivera that had chance to get as much trust and rein.. Mike was our best shot if that what we wanted..

totally agree

Balderdash. Stephen's new authority began when he kept dak the starter over tony. Then when he sent dez down the road. Major decisions. If you're going to disparage someone, do it with facts.
“ new authority “ lol

dear fellow fanzone freaks---- after reading the post that players did not fear Garrett and why

it is now concerning me if in fact Mike McCarthy will have the backbone to stand up to Jerry...

i sincerely hope Jerry after this season will realize he must humble himself and not try to steal

shine from coaches and or players....but i am not holding my breath...so what is your honest

opinion of McCarthy's backbone in standing up to Jerry when applicable?

thank you all in advance

sincerely

I do not think there will be an issue.

If you listened to the press conference..

at least how I heard it..

MM consistently referred to himself as the caretaker of the image..

Defered to the Jones" as having the franchise at purchase of $140 mil to now $5 billion in value is something to admire.

Implied he was there to increase the Cowboy legacy..

increase the value of the brand..

and never mentioned his own legacy if he was successful.

This of course is nice and saying all the right things at the right time.

Anyone listening had to be aware that MM had been fired from GB.

But he only blamed himself for what happened.

Not a Rodgers disagreement, not some unlucky break like we do about losing to his Packers on the Dez Non-Catch..

he admitted he may have been stale calling plays the offense ran..

he was refreshingly candid for a HC.

Accountable and not trying to dodge anything.

This never happened with Garrett.

He was always so insecure about Jerrah in the background..

MM will never deal with that.

Like Parcells, he has his own sizable rep and does not need Jones.

Jones needs him.

That will keep things equal b/w them going forward.

They need each other.

Maybe Jerry is actually interested in what McCarthy has to say?? Seems like he is smitten with Mike. Now how long will that last? Who the heck knows.....?
Apparently according to this “ new authority “ everything now goes thru Stephen. Lol
