Will Notre Dame lose to Duke too? LOL

LOL I know Weiss can recruit but what good is having a top recruiting class if you can't develop that talent. He had a top 5 recruiting class last year and a top class the year before that and they are 1-9. I'm sorry but there is simply no excuse to lose to both Navy and Air Force in the same year with the amount of talent on that roster. Any half-way decent coach would do better than 1 win. As bad as Notre Dame is, I really thought they would beat Navy and Air Force. If they lose to Duke, Charlie is as good as gone.

You, like many people on this board, are guilty of grossly underestimating that Navy team. That team can present a big problem for many big conference schools.

That being said...this Notre Dame team is a disgrace. I could see them dropping the Duke game.

This is not all about Talent.

Even a bad recruiting year for Notre Dame is better than many of the teams in College.

They have enough talent there to win, maybe not against the big schools, but enough not to have that pathetic record they have.

I follow WVU and Marshall. Marshall has no where near the yearly recruiting classes that Notre Dame has so it can be expected if they have a bad year/s.

However with Notre Dame they have enough talent that they should have won more than one game.

With that falls the ability of the Coach to get the best out of his players.

It is not just the losses that look terrible for Notre Dame.

It would appear they are BAD losses. With the exception of a few games they have not even been in the games with that offense.

Both their offense and defense have been just flat out terrible for the amount of talent they have.

Their opponents have averaged 32.4 points per game while Notre Dame has only averaged 14.8.

I don't care how many times you will see some notre dame fans say it is all about the lack of talent. That is not the biggest issue IMO. It is the coaching.

If it were any other coach, if they had not put so much money on the line with this coach...he would be gone by now.

Was the recruiting class any worse for the two previous coaches? I don't think so.

Either way I love seeing them struggle. This is the first year I am happy that they are on every weekend so I can watch them lose.

BUT ND will be back. And I will enjoy the knowledge of how Nors and those like him will be grinding their teeth and getting ulcers when they do. I WILL ENJOY YOUR PAIN.
Its not just that the talent is not great- we are TERRIBLE in the one area that NO team can be weak in- the O line. Both coaching and talent is lacking there- and what talent we do have is very young and inexperienced.

If it was just the offense and O-Line struggling it would be one thing.

However the Defense has not exactly been stout either.

If weiss has another year even close to this one, they will have to weissen up and get rid of him.

Yeah, no kidding. Stupid UCLA was nationally ranked at that time and they blew it, idiots. If UCLA performed like they were suppose to, then we'd looking at possiblity of ND going winless.
