Will Parcells throw the Cowboys under the bus on ESPN?

I doubt he will just be a blatant *** and throw trash all over the whole team but I fully expect him to take small little shots at the players who have come out and bashed him. Why not......I don't expect some messiah-like play from half the players who say they were held back. I would definently point a few extra things out about those players.

My guess he will call him TO. No need to call him "the player" any more.

Parcells is a curmudgeon and he is a sour guy.

But he is a good dude and and he has too much respect for himself and his former teams to do that. He is going to be honest just like he has his entire career. If we suck, or he finds something that he doesn't like I don't think he will be more biased or the like than other teams me think.

So no.

And if he does so what? I don't care.

All I know is that the Cowboys will effectively throw Duane under the bus with a good December and a nice playoff run...without saying a word.

I don't remember how he treats his former teams. Will he be more critical of the Cowboys? What about Jerry?

Will he take credit if the Cowboys do well?

Bill Parcells will never throw Dallas under the bus. You see, that would be going for the kill and we all know Big Bill don't play like that.

I think he'd just "innuendo" us to death.

my guess is:

1. there will be the crowd that thinks parcells hates the cowboys
2. there will be the crowd that thinks parcells is objective
3. there will be the crowd who's tired of all the arguing it's going to cause between the two groups during the year.

I think people are way too worried about what each "side" is saying about the other and trying to create emotional controversy where in most cases predictable differences of opinion are really no big deal.

I fully expect the mature players & coaches, which imo is most of those concerned here, will handle this maturely. Mature people can have differences of opinion without it becoming a "throwing them under the bus" scenario.

i'll see you in group 3 soon.

I wonder that, too. I bet he's not crazy about some of these players saying negative things about him.

At the very least, I think we're going to get his real thoughts on some of our players. It'll be interesting, for sure.

Well you know the talking heads at ESPN will put Bill on the spot while on the air, asking him how he feels about his former players in Dallas calling him out.

it's like an aikman debate. if he says something critical of the cowboys some of the uber-sensitive go crazy and start to hate him. obviously we're not perfect or we'd be winning every game by a large margin.

but if you point that out to some....

group 3 will grow quite a bit. we've got (3) in it now and i'm gonna go get a good table with the vibrating recliners next to the big screen tv.

Way I see it...Bill is gone and now the new coaching staff is in place.

I just don't feel the need to rag on him now.

So...waiting in group three when others get tired of ragging on him.

right there w/ya. i was highly critical of bp but never hated him - just vastly disagreed on philosophy (as many may recall). but he's gone, still a top figure in this industry, and i'm sure will have a lot to say good and bad about all teams.

hmmmm...we're going to need a soda dispenser closer to this table...

It'd be funny if Parcells came out with a book telling stories of how it was to work with Jethro, especially during the whole signing T.O. thing, but I'm sure fans wouldn't believe him, they'd just discredit him as having sour grapes.

you mean like BP fans discredit players opinions as "sour grapes"?

imagine that.

Yeah kinda like that, though with the players I wouldn't use the term "sour grapes" but "immature whiners" would be more fitting.:)

I'm not really big on the job Bill did here, but for alot of folks to think that everything with this team is gonna be alright and their superbowl bound because Bill is gone, is crazy to me. Especially when you've got a group of players on the team that blames Bill for their play and doesn't take personal responsibility for their own play. That's not a sign of a winner to me and to me it shows they don't think they really have to improve themselves too much but the new coach will take care of everything for them.

I'll bring the cold drink dispenser for group three. Who do we want to sponsor us? Coke, Pepsi, Bud, Coors, or Sam Adams?

I can go with the RC, but a co-sponsorship with Shiner and Sam Adams would be more lucrative, and tasty. I'm gonna drag up my barcalounger and get comfortable.
