Will Parson's be on a pitch count?

I can see the Cowboys easing Parson's into his first couple games due to the fact that he hasn't played a full game in over a year and just to keep his emotions in check.
Rookies in general have a problem harnessing their enthusiasm and regulating their adrenaline early on. Parson's seems like someone who has the mentality that he wants to do it all and may have a tendency to wear himself out mostly just being over-hyped. I can see Tom Brady and Tampa taking advantage of that aggressiveness. MP will be so jacked up and combining that with being his first full game in a while, he has to be careful not to overextend himself and be all worn out come the 4th quarter. His head will be swimming and his body may be a little in shock adjusting to the speed and power of the game and having to do it for an extensive amount of time.
Once he gets a good feel for the speed and pace of the game, he should be able to be unleashed more and more as the season goes on.

I think he's fine with playing all the snaps. No breaks needed, no pitch count needed, no apostrophe needed.

I think he should play 75- 80% of plays the first 2 or 3 games.

After that, unleash him.

Only if the NFL creates the Parsons Rule limiting him to how many sacks he can get in a game.

They are already working on a rule to implement for the game against TB.
Refs are having classes now. If he gets within 2 feet of Brady, it will be a roughing call.

  • Pass rushers typically play 65-75% game time
  • Off ball Linebackers typically play 85-95% game time

I'm expecting him to split the difference and play around 75-85% game time.

He might very well be the most talented player we have on defense. Get him on the field.

Plans are in the works for a sideline jacuzzi and snack bar as we speak.
